  • i have one but what do the bars do that go over your bottom front teeth i have 3 and dont know what they do lol:L and is it normal for it to kill your back teeth?

  • what are the 2 things with balls on the end or on the front bottom teeth, i have twin blocks but i have thre off them thing:| is it normal for your back teeth to really hurt , and are you supposed to bite pushing backwards or just close your mouth lightly?

  • It is.. Ugly =S

  • Your teeth don't grow any more. What happens is when they don't have the force of the other teeth acting against them they start to over erupt. But it is ok because you bone and gums will move with the teeth.

  • these animations are fun to watch for some reason :D

  • HI.! This is Puneet. I recently got twin block appliance and they look just the same as shown in video.. i wear those 24 hours except for brushing my teeth.. i also wear them during eating my food.. can u tel me how much time it would take for my treatment.. i am wearing them since 23 jan 2012

  • how does the molar teeth rise up like the way it's demonstrated? is that really possible?

  • @MrVegiita Every tooth has an eruption potential and when nothing is opposing it for a period of time, it will erupt to meet the the appliance as seen in the video.

  • i had this for a year! pleased to say it was the worst year of my life!

  • so does this make your teeth grow?

  • I wish mine had grooves in them, but they were flat and just mushed up my food and I couldn't actually chew. So I never wore it and accidentaly broke it many times. Orthodontist decided to wait for my braces then have a twin block with them, but "new technology" came around and now im having springs

  • I got here from watching people squeeze huge zits.

  • @thenaturegirl22098 Hahahahaha :P That always happens to me. I watch a video. And end up on a completely different one :P xx

  • I'm confused.... I don't think my teeth can grow in anymore?

  • i got one of these today and the pain is unreal, i cant eat, talk, or close my mouth. plus im droolin everywere.... is this normal?? :(

  • @TheGdawg21 The first days/week, yes. I drooled too, haha. :P

I've had mine for about 3 months now and only the talking is a bit hard. All the rest is just fine. :)

  • @danieeel31 ok thanks... ive had mine for about a week and a half and im almost got the eating down, and im talkin much better

  • @TheGdawg21 I drooled the whole first day I got banded... I think it's normal. 0_0

  • HEY!! I got these when I was 8! Bitch they told me if I wore them I wouldn't need braces. They were wrong. But to be honest I blame myself for always being lazy to tighten them up ...

  • God dentists and othadontist can do anything with teeth. I got an expander and braces. The braces hurt

  • i had the bottom one!

  • como se confexciona un twin block

  • i have this. ive had it for about 3 weeks and im still not used to it. i take it out in my sleep but im scared i will have to tighten it with that key thing. please help

  • why is it that some twin blocks have the wire round the front and some dont? mine dosent have the wire round the front.

  • Why do you have to make the appliance wider? Does it help the teeth to form properly?

  • @xXDomoObsessionXx to expand your maxillary

  • I am deciding wether to have this or a herbst applience. Right now I want this more.. I now that the HA is alot quicker, but it looks so painfull and scary.

  • How long is the green thing on and can you choose different colors? And how long are the braces on for?

  • Of course they can

  • Can adult patients get this?

  • this is what im getting done. good thing i get it for free:D

  • @sipper0 lucky!

  • I got my braces for free. :)

  • @Sipper0 me too

  • I have these and it's horrible! I have alot of cuts in my mouth, I can't talk normally and it's painful. But I'm noticing some very GOOD changes!

  • I have these. THEY ARE THE WORST THING IN THE WORLD!! You go to hell and back for a week!! However, after that, no pain they just become annoying when trying to talk, eat and play sports >.<

  • @JacksEarth - I no longer have these and i now have fixed braces. These twin blocks still have my vote for the worlds most painful thing placed in your mouth!! D:

  • I'm getting really scared im getting braces next week help me now plz

  • @vampiregirl2291998 hahaha join the club :)

  • Wowee nice

  • @CameronCourts

The average is about 2 years and $1,500-2,000.

  • @MrBanananananananas - Also, the fee differs depending on where you live.

  • how long is the average treatment, and how much does it cost?

  • @CameronCourts The average treatment usually depends on the patient's growth which is around 12 months but if the patient is a little bit slower in growth, it can go up to 24 months. As for cost, that depends on your orthodontist. I would suggest not picking and orthodontist based on fees, you always pay for what you get so if they are a bit more costly, many times they produce better results. For children, early orthodontics is very important for their future tooth, gum and bone health.
