@Huntington1234567 I agree.  It started to turn to crap when he divorced Allison. He has lost touch with his audience ever since he started making hundreds of millions of dollars and married a younger model.

What's worse though is that he doesn't give Jackie or Billy enough credit for making the show funny. And recently when Gilbert was on he didn't do the news and the excuse was they don't have people sit in on the news anymore. Howard's lost all sense of what is actually funny.

I don't think the show was EVER funnier than when Gilbert was in the studio when they were doing the News. Just hearing Jackie laugh, THEN hearing Gilbert laugh at Jackie's laugh had me in tears. How many times did I almost crash my car on the way to work because I could see the road form the tears rolling down my cheeks! Those days were the best! Howard should be ashamed of himself the lame show he's running today. He needs to retire with dignity and just be a happy married rich man.

Hours of Howard talking to Robin, describing his weekend at the Hamptons with Beth, the token guest, more talk about Beth, Beth in the studio plugging whatever, contract negotiations, threats to pull out and start an Internet show, you name it. The early days of Sirius were edgy - Artie, Crazy Alice, Bigfoot, Elliot Offen, Sal and Richard's pranks, the Sybian - all of that is gone.

frankly I would love to see gilbert take that job. Artie's too loveable and kinda tragic to really rip on i think, but he is funnier comically than jackie (but still not great i agree), whereas jackie was just an unfunny douche so he was a perfect target for attacks.which made the show funny.

You said it..it's a mixed blessing hearing these shows again (and thanks cpuss for all your efforts!). It shows you how great Stern (and the "classic" crew) were and bad things have gotten. Just so much energy back then...literally, the show sounds nothing like this anymore. A clip like this, just bs'ing on the news is infinitely more interesting than the nonstop bullshit about Artie.
