Couldnt "disagree" more with you!! Gavaskar WAS the dominant batsman & personality throughout the 1970s & 1980s.Kapil is spot on. However to win, you need to bowl out the opposition TWICE in a TEST MATCH (the real cricket). India never had a bowling attack that could bowl out the opposition twice . Kapil did not have requisite firepower at the other hand. Also, there were no neutral umpires in those days!! Indians would get the worst decisions everywhere which we would accept with Gandhigiri...
Kapil used the word "dominating" in the context - "sunny dominated world cricket" and not "sunny dominated the bowlers' and therefore his views are correct. Sunny dominated world cricket in that era as his 10,000+ runs clearly demonstrate. i am not sure how anyone can argue against that! As for saying that India did not win much at that time, well, Kapil did not say India was the dominant team of that time, only that Sunny was the dominant bastman. I rest my case.
fortunately it is not written like that in REAL cricket. The real domination in Cricket is dont give up your wicked how hard and difficulty facing the ball. Hold your temperment and get sight of the ball and score runs make your team proud.
it still has a lot to do with winning matches for your side and india for sure didnt win many matches while the most dominant player was playing for india

ball to sixer or four is that what "DOMINATING"
fortunately it is not written like that in REAL cricket. The real domination in Cricket is dont give up your wicked how hard and difficulty facing the ball. Hold your temperment and get sight of the ball and score runs make your team proud.
