@kristiantorres - Yeah I really wish I would have picked a better angle to record at now but like the annotation says, this was just supposed to be a draft/experimental run. =/ Anyway, I guess the answer to your question is yes. But it's more than just eighth notes. There are right hand doubles in a couple places because the tom beat is basically a strange 16th note pattern over a straight 4/4 beat. The left hand basically plays the e's and a's but also snare hits, thus the floor tom doubles.
