i see the abuse on prescription drugs i made a video on my show about it.. check it out on my page.. tell me what you think. thanks. and if you like check out the rest of the videos and subscribe please!
continued, im not on the meds no more, i stopped them and reduced the painj killers down over a year to get off them. my choice. it was a chemist that told me how bad the meds were. my doc said they were safe. i now have muscular problems, i cant work, somedays cant walk. painkillers, antidepressants etc are neurotoxic poisons that with continued use fuck up the nervous system. and all docs and big pharma know about it. thier pocket boost for our lives!
we put our trust in doctors when we have injurys and medical problems. i was on pain killers from a injury that failed to heal properly. or rather it apears the injury healed but im left with chronic pain and muscle weakness. i was prescribed an overdose for 3 years that resulted in my digestive system internally bleeding and shutting down and i became addicted suffering from psychological flashbacks. i ended up in A&E on a drip, a year later, im still sick bt no flashbacks n my stomach settled

i was given 40mil of vallium a day when i was 16,i went as i was shy and a worry trype of guy,i am now 30 that doctor has ruined my life,i had never heard of vallum, and just did what a doc told me,my fault? or his?either way i wont be abt to find out,u dont have to be junkie for this to happen,
Yes--there needs to be a FEDERAL prescription regulation that documents who gets these addictive drugs; some people go to many doctors to get the same narcotics. A federal log would see that patient A is getting the same pain killers from multiple physicians.
Fuck you, now as it is even cancer patients have a hard time obtaining the medications they need and it is because of brain dead fucks like you. I work with doctors and their paitents so I know what I am talking about.
No-Fuck you-I'm all for people in pain with cancer getting weed or opiates. Weed and Opiates should be legal for everyone who is in pain or for fun. Why the hell are you telling me fuck you???? I just don't like the abuse that goes on and the bullshit with the DEA numbers and doctors and CYA. BUT-these doctors get people hooked on bad drugs and then pull back and assholes have to go to multiple doctors-the real shame is that we develop TOLERANCE for these drugs. Cancer patients use cannibaloids.
Plus for the doctors and the prescription companies to do all of this for money is unethical--bad for people in pain. I wish to legalize most drugs---most of us know what we need--I think you misunderstood my ideas. And if you work with patients you should understand the need to have honesty--not people having to lie--there should be registry and doctors should not be questioned as much--but then some of them sell the drugs with impunity then--get samples of drugs not as good as natural drugs.
You are absolutely right!!! I have two scenarios to demonstrate my point. One, my father on the east coast dying of cancer. His pain was extremely well controlled by his oncologist working with a cancer pain specialist. My father was NOT over medicated and was lucid, but was on major amounts of dilaudid, actiq, fentanyl transdermal patches, and xanax. My father passed on peacefully. Scenerio 2, my aunt dying of cancer living in Las Vegas. Oncologist refused to Rx anything she suffered bad
Please, let me first say that I understand both sides of this. Because of the fear of this happening, doctors are trying to limit the amount of pain medication to the people who actually need them in an effort to comfort their own guilt for prescribing to abusers at the same time. When someone has, for instance a broken tibula and needs it set, one percoset isn't going to handle it. When the same woman brings her two daughter in to get a script for her own meds , ...she should be cut off.
This is stupid because penalties to doctors will make doctors more reluctant in prescribing to patients who actually need them. Sure some pain patients are addicted, but it is better than living in pain all the time.
Do you all remember when doctors were supposed to be getting educated on pain medication seeking patients? But, doctors have an oath more fervently held on to than the Hyporcratic one, the one that says, "I vow to always cover another physician's a**." Also, "Covet the almighty dollar prior to patient needs."
I was wondering if there is a way to get proper pain CHRONIC PAIN relief without feeling like a drug seeker. It is not fair. I have had surgery catscans scopes etc etc costing me 1,000s. The drug that works best has been oxycontin but DR says addictive so I get morphine and hydrocodone. I am literally in pain 24 7 for last 2 yrs. Pisses me off.
I hear ya there man, i am in the same position and i feel like every dr i goto see's me as an addict and won't properly treat my pain. I have 2 herniated disks in my back L4 n L5 and i had been taking vicoden 7.5's and 25mcg fentanyl patches. And was comfortable and able 2 do the things i needed 2 without pain..Now i have 2 self medicate and it costs me a buttload of money 2 remain active and it pisses me off. Is there anything that anyone could recommend? Holla
Yes, and shouldn't something like xrays show that someone actually has pain? I realise that one aspect of this is more fee splitting. I mean by that that physicians aren't prescribing narcotics themselves, they leave it up to pain clinics. Also, there is an article out that states that the need for pain medication has changed. It used to be that patients expected to live with more pain than since the era of babyboomers who insist on having NO PAIN.
mygodrules, I agree, Dr's like this are just looking to cover there own ass, and unfortunatly some other Dr's will follow in conformity, if you are in severe pain you can take large amounts of drugs without feeling the "high" it is part of my life, I may be slowly killing my liver but I would trade 10 years of agonizing pain for 2 years of playing with my granddaughter, at this point addiction is a side effect I can live with.
i was in a car accident in a company car that i was a passenger of, we got side swiped at 65mph. I herniated 2 disks in my back at L4 n L5, and have been in severe pain everyday since. My original doc had me on Vicoden 7.5's and 25mcg fentanyl patches for a year n a half then he cut me off cold turkey 2 cover his ass. Now i have 2 self mediacte and it costs me a buttload of cash and is killing me slowly. Anyone have any advice?? holla at me "bluesberrydnk" thanks
I have chronic GI pain and have been given every known test etc known. The pain keeps me virtually bedridden. On one certain visit to my Dr due to unbearable pain I asked if I could have a pain med. He told me that he did not prescribe Opiates due to addiction.I was pissed. I left this Dr and found one that treated me with a patch Duragesic 25mg. I am now almost pain free. The other Dr is getting sued by me for not treating my pain.
I would like to let others know that if their Dr refuses to treat their pain and their pain is valid they can be held accountable. Dont suffer. Pain meds saved my life. I can now function.
people like you that actually HAVE de-bilitating real pain are done a GREAT dis-service by addicts.. im a recovering opioid analgesic pain med addict.. and now methadone free used-to-be-addict.. I apologize for giving yer problem a BAD name... and I will never take pain meds again unless im in yer condition.. good luck with it..
I am so glad you found something to help your pain. Nine years ago I was run over by a car and got a month's supply of Vicodin. I was afraid to ask for any more. The pain wasn't so bad that I had no other choice, but it was pretty damn bad! So I white-knuckled it for two years til the pain subsided. I am so happy for you! Now my mom is having pain in her back and hips. I hope to God that medicine can do something to just getting around a little easier.
