I would have though blasting the skeleton through the wall would have been an end to it, but it appears upstairs like a corner bug. what made you think of ging upstairs to find it ?
I was testing for trigger bugs to the next level. xRikux89 pointed out that this type of bug requires that there be no activated enemies, so I was trying to destroy the two skeletons. I don't recall exactly, but I probably went upstairs to attempt the bug, and there he was.
BTW, a trigger bug DOES put you past the locked gate, but the game requires you to go back out the gate, so you need the key anyway. There's another bug from Catacombs, but it lands you INSIDE the locked gate! @#!&@!!
