It's hard to help you from here, (and with..my english!)but I think it's important to play every day with finger (only) and try to find the right groove that fits with the music you're playing. First by accompanying the voice, and in a second time with guitar only (fingerstyle). but:

I think you have to be in love with guitar and after some years of this great love story she give you back something..
