I love how everybody is saying how terrible she is...when realistically, this how she pretty much sang for the whole duration of American Idol. Crystal rocks the stage, and does it will soul; that's what she was voted for. Even though she's not the "prettiest" singer ever, she knows how to move an audience, and that's what performing is about.

Seriously, Crystal must have gone off pitch at least a half dozen times during this performance. Absolutely pitiful. Look up Siobhan's performance of the same song. Unlike this glorified subway singer, Siobhan can actually sing in tune from start to finish.

Yeah, the Star Spangled Banner is a very difficult song to sing, especially for women without a developed head register. She has to belt out those high notes, and it's clearly a challenge. Still, I think she did a great job.

I don't watch American Idol much but I saw a news article about how she got her tooth fixed and im like.. wow she looks amazing wonder if she sounds good too.. so I youtubed her and all I can say is WOW! and @rytanya26 she didnt sound bad or anything... she was having fun with it... and she sounded amazing while doing it. @nerdherder221 Gets a little bit more difficult after puberty is done taking its toll. I mean no offense by this but take a look at Hanson and why they are no longer. Its easy to sound awesome when your a kid yet... after that its only natural or obtainable by lots of training and exorcises, then their are some that just cant acquire it at all.

@ILoveLee111 Crystal's a wee bit screechy in her highest notes, (watch "Maybe I'm Amazed" or "Black Velvet"), but it doesn't usually bother me too much. I thought Lee's performance of "Treat Her Like a Lady" was top 10 of the year, but Siobhan was my favorite of the top 12 followed by Crystal.

I just saw Lee Dewyze sing the national anthem at the NBA Finals right before I saw Crystal here.

I can see WHY Lee won Idol! His rendition was plain and dependable. Nothing special. No emotion. Very safe.

On the other hand, Crystal's rendition has her singing very high highs and adding all this emotion. What's that all about!?

She was just showing off with her amazing vocal ability. Who wants to hear that!?
