If you like the look of a bike from the 70's with engine/trans technology from the '40's then get a Harley. If you want modern styling, technology, reliability, less maintenence, at a more affordable price, then get a Victory. Simple as that.
@KutWrite To some extent I am. But for the most part I am merely pointing out the obvious. When you think about motorcycles and, and then have some one ask you the question "Which motorcycle manufacturer has the best legacy?" I feel quite certain that, Victory, Honda, Kawasaki etc etc etc will not be the first thing to come to mind. The simple fact is Harley Davidson and Indian bikes are built so well and have the legacy because that is all those company's make. Make sense?
i ride a HD street bob..but i do like the look of the hammer.. though main prombem i have with it is the whole plastic indicators.. fender way too high off that nice n fat tire.. handle bars are just dumb and serious lack of stuff to change that with. give victory another coupld of yrs i say
I just seen the new Victory Hammer S pull up next to me at a red light. The blue with the white stripes. Everybody on the road was staring at this thing. I thought it was a custom Nightster or something. That thing is sharp as hell. SHOULD B FOR 18000.00
I've had 4 HD's including a V-Rod and 2 Big Twins. My current Vegas 8-Ball would probably lose a drag to a V-Rod by a bike length and would win a drag with a stock Big Twin by 2 or 3.
those victories whine like little girls, especially when sitting next to a harley... Don't get me wrong, I'm not a bike basher by any means; nor am I a die hard harley man... To each his own I guess. Both nice bikes, both built well.. one is just built much better and has a much better legacy... its like comparing Indians and honda's

Harley has tradition, but Victory has raw power, superb rideability, styling, and value.

Victory bikes have better styling, but nothing compares to the sound of a Harley.

Apparently you have never ridden a Victory! LOL! A stock Vegas and stock V-Rod are nearly identical speed wise.

@Jswiss35 So, you're saying Harleys are built better than Harleys, like Indians are built better than Hondas?
