  • Eric Idle <3

  • Great insight here. Thank you for that information! Keep your videos coming...

  • karaoke version says lifes a piece of spit rather than shit!! just sounds wrong to me!!

  • Do you know that The Bright Side of Life is commonly played on the radio, and they CUT OUT THE PARTS "ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF DEATH"? They took out all the irony! lol!

  • I WAS THERE OMG:))))

  • This is a CLASSIC

  • Any idea why Terry Jones was dressed like a miner?

  • Thank GOD for Monty Python!

Where would we all be without Python?? a lot sadder that's for damn sure.

  • Thank GOD for Monty Python!!

Where would we all be without it?? a lot sadder thats for damn sure.

  • I wonder which is the cast's favourite performance of bright side of life? The 1991 royal variety mustve been good!

  • This is Eric Idle, right?

  • Were any of the other Pythons at the show at the royal albert hall or was it just Eric Idle?

  • I still have the Denis Moore theme song stuck in my head.

  • @blueweb25

"He steals dum dum dum, and dum dum dum, da deeee!"

  • Whenever I hear this song, I wish SO bad I knew how to whistle... :-/

  • @MrsMeiwes Agree :/

  • It's GREAT!

  • It was Neil Innes who came up with the whistle.

  • This would be absolutely epic to see live - shame I live on the other side of the world :l

  • Going to see this on the 15th!

  • @Justagenious Hah!!!

  • merci de nous faire encore rêver,

c'est toujours un plaisir de retrouver notre ami Idle

  • Monty Python 4ever!

  • Our science teacher left and me and two friends hopped up onto a table and sang this to him.

  • He might just go like Tommy Cooper...

  • i sing that at school...

  • Wait until Biggus Dickus hears of this!!

  • It's inspiring seeing Idle, despite his age, continue to participate so wonderfully in these stage shows. It just goes to show he'll be dancing, making jokes and laughing all the way up to his terminal breath.

  • @ExecuteRobot he's probably gonna have this song playing at his funeral.

  • Eric Idle, you have just secured your spot in my list of favorite people, even though I've never even met you. I love people that can make me laugh and smile. Life is pretty crummy, when you really think about it, so we might as well enjoy what we can, 'cus we've only got one shot down here as far as I'm concerned.

  • my favorite python song is still the galaxy song

  • Eric I love you:)))

I was there!!! I actually was there and I still can't believe it:)

  • AWESOME! How else can I describe it?

  • People always said these lyrics to me, and I always saw it written on walls and other places, but I never knew where it originally came from, until I saw the film.

  • 1:17 :D:D:D

  • i was at that :D

  • Typical. More Idle worship ;)

  • @sheridanbucket And that is always a good thing isn't it?

  • @PuppyZwolle But, of course. Afterall, he's a lumberjack and he's OK!

  • Eric is such a great guy. He IS the Messiah! And a naughty boy. Can't believe that someone pushed the thumbs down button...

  • I love this song. The kids have heard me hum or sing this so often that my daughter will simply break out singing it. Always seems when I'm having a down moment that she does that. :) I have corrupted the kids. They love Monty Python. :)

  • Someone missed the like button

  • Eric's voice hasn't changed at all...

  • @JrGrissom Eric hasn't changed at all. lol.

  • I think I might buy the DVD...

  • ALMOST REPLACED?????? Then what would i play at my funeral????

  • ooh, I wonder what it would've been like if it was re-written.

  • @dinobonoid Different would be my guess. ;^)

  • Just imagine they would have re-written the song or even replaced it... >:(

  • The thing that made Python so good was it was a bunch of funny, intelligent people out to make each other laugh. And you got to watch.

  • @kristell9 You, my dear fellow YouTuber, NAILED it. :)

  • The guys behind Monty Python are GODS!

  • I knew that before they we're born and im 15!!!

Beat that if you can!!!! :P

  • 3rd and biggest LOL

  • YES!!!!

  • That looked like fun. I wish I had been there.

  • I was shocked recently when someone asked, "Who are Monty Python?" The first description that came to my mind was, "They were the Beatles of comedy." My friend knew this was the highest praise I could possibly give.

  • @SubmarinerAndroid How could somebody NOT have heard about Monty Python. I don't think my life would have been complete without watching Holy Grail.

  • @SubmarinerAndroid

The Beatles of comedy, best definition ever!!

  • @Marinkorpse omg that is the best definition ever! XD

  • @SubmarinerAndroid Well said! I had a similar situation few weeks ago, quite a shock indeed! It's a bit sad that the younger generation is missing out on this. :(

  • @SubmarinerAndroid

    "The Who?"

    "No. The Beatles"

  • @SubmarinerAndroid we'll be facing these oddities more often in the future... most pre-teenagers have no idea who the Stones or Beatles are. They're not that often on tv or radio anymore.

How quickly monuments like this fade into the background. Though I think to a degree, both Stones, Beatles and Montey Python will remain well known and respected

  • @SubmarinerAndroid but better! they keep breaking up and getting back together!

    ooooh, YES!

  • Awesome. :)

  • Neat

  • I want to see this!!

  • monty python is the best

  • Hahaha great!
