OK, the storyline appears to no longer matter, because the entire plot has been reset and juggled around and blown to pieces. Jade, Kitana, Jax, Nightwolf, Sindel, Goro, Smoke, Cyber Sub-Zero (and I'm probably forgetting a few more) have all died. Who knows how they're going to be revived, if they're even going to be revived, or if there is even going to be another Mortal Kombat.
