wow I never knew that these kids don't know when one day they may not see their parents at the end of the school day! That's so horrible. I'm glad you guys are going.
I passed this along to my ASL professor and hopefully our class mates will see this and perhaps help out. This is wonderful--my daughter heard you say that if we paid $50 we could come along with you to Africa (she is 5) and I had to explain that you meant it symbolically ;) she was REALLY excited to go to Ghana :)
@TheBlueMeadow Most countries do have their own sign languages, but some countries do not have any, and Deaf people are even looked down upon. So they teach ASL.

I didn't know ASL was used in 3rd world countries! I thought they had their own SL! O I so want to go over and help now!
