I love two things about this video; one, it shows that Authentic loves his job as he continued to jump without Beezie. And, two, it show Authentic being more of a "normal" (for lack of better words) horse. Running around in the arena, it makes him more real. Like if you were to see a celebrity in the grocery store.

@ColdNovemberRain I see your point exactly, and I'm not sure if you have horses, but I know at least with my horses that the few times they have gotten loose with their reins hanging, even when their leg went through the leather rein, the rein snaps/breaks pretty easily. I've lost 3 good show bridles that way x.x But I do agree that they should have been quiet to allow the people to catch him.

@ColdNovemberRain I used to own a quarter horse but he passed Jan. 1st 2011.. we also lost a few bridles in our time together, but there's always the risk.

I didn't say she wasn't an AMAZING rider, she probably is, also, yes, a jump off is when you are supposed to go fast, but that's too fast. Maybe that's the difference between American-English style and English. I ride English hunter style and when doing a course it's in a controlled canter, not at a dangerous speed.

@HorsieSophie this is show jumping. not hunters. clearly. you don't win in this type of competition if you have a nice slow canter. you need a hand (controlled) gallop. yeah, she made a mistake. but she's also one of/if not the best riders in the sport. she wasn't going too fast. Beeie and Authentic both saw the distance; he just didn't make it over. shit happens.
