  • jhoso891: We need to leave the government out of this. The government is why so few Native people know who they are. Their elders were so afraid to speak of their native bloodline, for fear that their children would be taken away, that they didn't speak of it. The government has also chosen to dictate "who is Native and who isn't".

  • Thank you so much for doing this...

i've been interested in native culture for along time now and more specifically, the Iriquois and the Sececa Nation and i had the honor of talking to a very cool Mohawk man at the iriquois museum in New York yesterday. I'd love to be able to help spread word about their culture if i ever came to understand it enough. i'd like nothing better.

  • Who knows the traditional beliefs real good? I mean the gods and goddesses Onkwehonweh have. Who is youre version of Irish goddess Danu? Danu is mother earth. Who is youre father god=God Of Gods. To Irish Celts he is The Dagda=The sun, wind, rain, lightning!! Danu is his wife. both could take human form in the time of the Tuatha De Dannan=the dream time before the missionaries ruined everything!

  • I am Guyohkohnyoh (Cayuga) We the Onkwehonweh dont have or worship godesses or multiple gods. We believe in One God - THE CREATOR, aka The Great Spirit.
