@masercot yes i was paying for health insurance. the insurance covered it but they still told me how much it cost. but the government is involved and the prices havn't gone down they've gone up. before government was involved prices were much lower. there is also an unwritten rule that doctors have : never turn down helping anyone. so with that rule why couldn't we just get the government out of health care? i know people that couldn't pay their hospital bills and they just stopped getting bills

@masercot that may be why my friend's bills were written off but it's untrue to say that doctors won't give free health care because of a lack of goodness in their heart. the emtala has only only been around since 1986 but there were hospitals before that act was passed that provided free health care. ron paul talks about all the time how he worked at one of those hospitals and how they never turned down any patients.
