  • WHAT??!!? Not for the North American market...yet. Going after the Multistrada perhaps???

  • Kawasaki nails it again with a more powerful version of the Versys, I prefer this engine as well. Thanks Kawasaki :-)

  • Im in love

  • I already ride one. This thing is like being in a rocket. FU....k!!! I will buy one next week. I had a versys 650 and it was amaizing, fun to ride, but this thing is just 3 steps above.

UGLY??? are you crazy people???? Now I udertand why everybody is hearing reggaeton music. This bike rocks. and please you can not compare this bike to a BMW 1200GS. you can't compete with that. You get what you pay for. For the money the versys 1000 is Fu...kn amazing.

  • Idiots. Bang for the buck this thing has no equal. It is what we all need but will your ego's let it be what you want?

  • Sweet bike. I'd like to see KHI develop a competitor to the Tenere though.

  • No está mal, pero me parece una mezcla entre la parte posterior de la Suzuki V strom y un poco el frontal de la KTM 990 SMT.

  • I LOVE the looks of the Versys 650 and hoped Kawasaki would bring out a gruntier version but I can't help but be completely underwhelmed by this. For me it is almost an irrelevance how it will perform as it just looks so flabby by comparison.

It may well have gone to the gym to get some muscle but it looks like it stopped off once too often at the kebab shop on the way home.

It should be called, Kawasaki Versys "The Vegas Years"

  • 4cylinders touring ???

    hell yeah !!!

  • ΤΑ ΣΠΑΕΙ ΤΟ ΕΡΓΑΛΕΙΟ!!!!

  • @lanza359 μια μαλακια και μιση ειναι!

  • For town usage, you can always use the Z1000SX (Ninja 1000) or the Z1000.

how about using that for dual purpose?

    ;)

  • Well, I see this as an "ego" model. no more than that. A dual purpose with an inline 4 1000cc engine is just ridiculous. I've had a Kawasaki ER-6n model and went through paved and unchartered road, although it's not many here in Malaysia. I still remember how I strived to keep my bike up when I fell down. Just imagine with a 1000cc inline 4?? I just wished they'd come up with a 1000cc V-Twins like the V-Storm or a 1000cc Parallel twin. It's better for the gallons and fit its name.

  • @mfairus3781 This one is my dream bike. A mega-trail with enough HP, loads of engine and good top speed + stunning looks, The yellow/black, also the Black and golden-brown/black. White/black is not my taste. I agree on the V-engine, but should be a V-4...and I don't see myself as such an Ego guy. lol, Xheers.

  • Just perfect! That is just what I imagined for a 1000cc model. 116hp. Hell yeah! I ride a 2008 Versys, it's an amazing bike. And this will be twice as good!! Great!

  • Ahh that's where I got it wrong then, I thought it was an all rounder not a highway thing, something like a TDM etc, I thought K already had a GTR, ZZR, Z-SX etc, I thought they were putting this up against the new Tenere 1200, Multistrada etc, Something light, nimble, tour, scratch, commute etc? I am mistaken, didn't think it was designed for off road travel anyway. :-)

  • Upright Ergonomics & Passenger Comfort

    I love it !

  • Looks fat.. should have been a Twin, not a 4, Parts bin special!!

  • @Rolexgmtful They do have a Versys with a twin, it's got a 650cc parallel twin ;-)

  • @VicariousRider

Exactly my point, they should have made a bigger version of the very good, and popular 650, now it's just a bog 1000 4 cylinder like all the rest... Kawasaki have missed the point in what made the 650 so good.. and sell :-(

  • @Rolexgmtful I think their target was more for distance touring, not actual off-road adventure riding. Let me tell you, for highway riding, the ZRX1100 I owned and ZRX1200 I own currently perform far superior to the Versys when it comes to riding long-distance on highways. If you want a good adventure bike, KTM and BMW have proven off road machines, but I don't think Kawasaki has any intention of competing in that market.

Put it another way, this is the UJM reinvented.

  • what about ER10N?

  • @rcrossz7 Thats a z1000!
