I shit my pants today. His single jump is 3.57m; today I just jumped 3.27m with only a single year of javelin training. I aim to be at 3.57m by next year.
I don't see how anyone can say teros on steroids lol he gets tested at what like 15+ meets a year and hasn't failed one! As for his form on the bench it's so shitty lol there's no arguing it
I know about his success in javelin but when i see hin bench and especially doing the hang clean and the snatch i wonder why he didn't sped some time learning the proper form...
Proper form would be more efficient if he was going for lifting competition, sometime it is more important that you move the weight rather than be perfect in form
@cutlersize Yeah no doubt. For him it's about the weight, but what I am trying to say is that with proper form he possibly could lift more weight than he does right now ... let#s say maybe he could.
@orcanader I Think Pitkamaki did his bench on purpose like that. It is now more a decline bench press than a flat one. And well his snatch technique seems alright. With the power clean I agree that his elbows should be higher. But on the other hand it can be tha with lower weights he has the proper technique and then when he trains with heavy weights he can't fully perform the clean on technique, but just raw power.
WoW this guy is amazing. I workout and Train very hard everyday. I am at least two of this guy but to see what he lifts when he worksout is incredible!! I cannot believe that guy is that strong. He is an awesome athlete. WoW!!
if there is one thing AntillRS said that was true it's that not everyone is able to be a world class javelin thrower or in general a world class athlete... i have trained with some of the world's greatest and even they will admit their hard work was accompanied by something special that not every person possesses
@cbouts519 Don't take this the wrong way, but you should learn about powerlifting. even though he is not a powerlifter, this still shows your ignorance about training, honestly. no disrespect, it's simply true. if you are interested, the best in the world is Charles Poliquin. Start with him.
@efisgpr Well my "ignorance" of training has nothing to do with me saying that his flat bench turned into a decline. did i say it was wrong? nope, merely stated that it happened.
Also something any athlete and coach should know that no single training method fits everyone. so a lift or variation of that lift may not benefit me the way it does someone else.
So personally I do not feel like I am ignorant at all about training, do i know everything? nope, never claim to
no heis an athlete hahaha... why do you have to look like bodybuilder to lift much O.o? ceck hammer throwers javelin throwers and diskus .. they just get strong :)
I understand that. What I'm saying is that I could train with just as much effort as him but i will never be able to throw a javelin nearly as far. It's just he, and other like him, have been gifted a talent that no matter how hard an average joe like me trains, i will never be able to replicate him.
Maybe, but throwing over 90 meters isnt something everyones body is cut out for. But of course, you are totally qualified to lecture me on the shortcomings of my mental attitude, because i'm sure you are an elite athlete who has an Olympic medal tucked away somewhere. In your little head
Its down to the fact that the training he is doing is basically for power and not muscle size. Yes he is strong but what make him special is that he can move the weight at a faster speed than others.
He's HOT!

He's the ideal build for javelin throwing, any more bulk and, whilst he could get stronger, he'd compromise his speed and overall power

thats absolute rubbish. some people are way more susseptable to injury and similar things like that which may prevent you from getting to the top.
basically what you are saying is that everyone can be as smart as einstein if they put in enough hard work, i honestly doubt that...
