RIP..omg. My daughter's dad is from Sudan..and I've learned to grasp African Culture..and love every bit of it. so beautiful may god be with u Manalmosh
Oh wow. This is so beautiful. I love how they do the breathing at 2:30. I love Africa! I am Zimbabwean, and have favourite artists from each country in Africa, I can promise you. From Oliver Mtukudzi, Brenda Fassie, Hugh Masekela, SALIF KEITA (My favourite), Oumou Sangare.. the list goes on. Infact, I just love music, beautiful music. RnB, HipHop, Culture, Jazz, Soul, Neo-Soul. And now I am stuck on this song because it is SO beautiful. I do not understand a word. But I do not need to.
there is no such thing as " north West Africa": there is "Maghrib" or "North Africa" (with Egypt). If you hear a link in chleuh music, in south Morocco with Ethiopian's music, I understand and I completely agree with it. But Ethiopia isn't Africa and Africa isn't Ethiopia.
"Amazigh people" (people of "Berberie") are, to me, more mediterraneans than "Africans", according to the actual biased definition of "Africa".
Anyway, I like the music, the landscape and dance.
What? R. I. P? what happen to her? I'm from Nigeria and dont understand a bit from this song but I listen to it almost everyday and my friends to. Oh God! Ethiopians accept my condolence for her death. My friends and I share the pain with you all.
@Mokwa000 Hi there there is more than one thing that units humans ....the best one is the Music .I too do not undrestand this but I love it...Oh sorry ...Am also African bit far to the north ...and am like you a music lover and universal
@Esenadus If I read on someone's post thus; The President of ABC country is dead. and I said 'dead'? That doesn't mean I'm asking what dead mean. It's just the shock of the news.

The one thing that I don't understand is how this lady gets a following from all over the world, even people who do not understand Amharic. How? her songs are ok as far as amharic songs go. I am not sure how she gets diverse fans....
Iam half chines half somlian and I love ethipian music I have visited last year ethipia beautul country friedly peaple and wonderful culture. comments from china I love ethipia and its culture.

She is singing about living in a rural community named Wela. She also has another video about the Province of Gondar on the same DVD. Both are very nice.

By the way: I don't know why Camdens left the e out of Manalemosh Dibo's first name, but that is a mistaken transliteration.
It is like when people write "Ibo" when they actually should write "Igbo". :-)
God bless the Christians of Sudan. We Habesha Christians are sympathetic allies with South Sudan Christians, even in spite of our own current godless amoral marxist leaders. May Christians of both nations overcome those who plague our hmelands.
