Sorry when I type airmon-ng the interface and drivers etc.. Nothing under them by the way when I go to my connection center I mean on network in the control panel there are two adapters for ... and I don't have vmware tools installed because it needs me to sign in gust operation system ???
@curemymind 1- I have netgrear and Broadcom the one that came with my notebook. 2. I don't know how to disconnect vmware from my host and connecting it to my guest OS
@Youzersef the one that is integrated with your notebook you will not be able to use b/c of how vmware works... U will be able to use the usb wifi... I do have a video of how to disconnect the usb from your host to your guest... there are also other video from other people on youtube with the same video...My video is called "backtrack 4 usb wifi & net set on vm for dummies" so if you want to search for that or just look though my videos by clickong on my name...
@ciremymind I have netgear wnda 31000 idont know what's the card name of it/I'm using backtrack iso with vmware my wifi is USB and I have notebook is acer aspire one d275 runing windows 7 starter thank you for asking me please help me because I want to try it
@Youzersef I believe that you will need the drivers for this from the netgear website... If this is not a usb which i think it is you will not be able to use it in vmware... But if this is a USB then just look for the drivers for Linux from netgear... Also make sure that vmware is disconnecting it from your host and connecting it to your guest OS which should be your bt installation...
@Youzersef 1st off what kind of wifi card do you have? and how are you using the backtrack iso? vmware or full HDD install? what kind of wifi card is it, is it usb or pci, mini pci, pcmcia? Laptop or Desktop?
@fusel412crew who cares about vmware... I only use vmware b/c it lets me record linux from boot... you could still use this video in a full computer enviorment... But whats wrong with the vmware? also what are the specs of your computer... maybe i can help you out...
The video is well done but..... with the luck I have there was a problem, "application installation failed"..... :[ kinda new to backtrack but love "borrowing" internet muhahaha!
And maybe to day I will create a video and send the link to you so you can see my problems thnks
