  • Good work man, give mine a view.. Although it's not as good as yours xx

  • very nice

  • Taaaaaake ooooon meeeee

  • 1730 frames, right side under

  • Well, folks, that essentially what Max Fleischer did back in 1915.

  • great job! how do you capture/import each image to your computer?

  • Scanner?

  • Looks GREAT! Good job! Did you do all this in Pencil Animation?

If so, care to make a tutorial?? XD

    Thanks for sharing though!

  • very noice

  • Incredible!

  • heh! this is pretty cool

  • door handle opens the wrong way :P

  • OMG!!!! that was fuckin awesome!!!!

  • must have taken forever

  • impressive...

although, i still don't know what rotoscoping is...heh.

  • rotoscoping is drawing over real video footage. so basically, if you took any footage from any movie ever, and traced it to make a complete animation, you would be rotoscoping. check it out on wikipedia, my friend, hahaha.

  • Wow! How long did it take you to do? =)

  • Awesome!!

  • waaaaaah

you must be having a bunch of time on your hands

could you give me some of it ;D

  • Great job, how did you scan this in? did you have to reposition every frame, or did you use some method of software scaling?

  • Great work!

  • how awesome thats so cool great job!!!

  • cool

  • he opens the door with left hand :D but he supposed to open with right one

  • nice! love the pencil hand drawn frames, check out my first rotoscope, its not as nice, done just using a drawing tablet

  • this reminds me of Aha "Take on me"

  • ok guys, film yourself, import it into flash, add a layer above it, then draw on each keyframe and once you have done that delete the video and export

  • Hey!

Excellent job. Did you scan every pic in. that would of taken forever!! or do you know a quicker way? I want to try a hand drawn rotoscope project. I've done one in photoshop which took me the whole year for an Art project. I put it on youtube if you want to check it out.

    Great job!

    Tim

  • What program did you use to export?

  • This is amazing. How long did it take you?

  • omg this took forever i guess

    great work though

  • wooooow - how long did you do it

  • ridiculous! in a good way of course

  • Pretty nice stuff there.

  • how u make them ?

  • 600 frames jeeesus amazing effort!!

  • It's cool but I think it need back ground music

  • awesome that rocks

  • i do rotoscope with clay

  • this

  • It was good. Prolly took alot of work, and time. the only thing that was funny though, was when he first went to open the door, the handle was the other way.

    No biggy. good job! :D

  • rotoscope is: well you film a video and you put rotoscope efects and you get like if it was drawn. its like a video on negative

  • That isn't what REAL rotoscoping is.

Sure, you could use the effect, but that doesn't give the best results.

Real Rotoscoping is drawing frame by frame over an already filmed video. It takes time and patience, and the end results can be amazing, like this video.

    ~Luna

  • Woah... That must take some patience to hand draw ALL those frames! 5 stars.

  • nice job, keep it on

  • That was cool.

  • That was cool.

  • its kinda like a commercial ive seen b4.... but i can't remember what it was called...

  • kool, i like the way the lines like, um, move around, very cool, how do you do these, i wanna learn :D

  • hi i loved your work we are an un sign band with not nuch money to spend on a video can you make us a video like this i think its gonna be very cool thanks

  • hi i loved your work we are an un sign band with not nuch money to spend on a video can you make us a video like this i think its gonna be very cool thanks

  • 172 pages?!... waahhh!...

  • what does rotoscope actually mean and how do you do it

  • I'd like to see a how to video.

  • ahhh man this is great. Put this one up again but with sound and this will be magnifique

  • that was amazing-some added music would be great

  • omg this would take forever. but, when he's opening the door he uses the opposite hand u show him opening it with before it zoomed in...

  • haha, good observation, its acutally two different doors, the handle on the close up just looked better when opening it.

  • take... on... me... (take on me) lol

  • This is amazing. You say its only 10 frames per second? Wow, it still looks real smooth. Did you put transitions between frames or something? Yea you should add some sounds and music and then it would be the sickest little clip.

  • you should add some music to these. really cool.

  • good but i think it will be better with music.

  • I agree with you. Good clip but kind of boring because it is silent.

  • wow! that was 1,000 better than my drawing animation!

  • sweet.

  • Nice rotoscoping, however you couldve rotoscoped out the camera shake in the profile walking scenes if it wasnt intentional... simply by marking his eye or something as a center and adjusting the printed out stills beneath each frame. Keep up the 2d animation!

  • very nice work come check out mine!

  • tht muust be more than 600 frames, theres 24 frames per sec, werird lol, this is kool tho, doin it at college, might rotoscope a film scene, might take a while mind lol

  • The video is exported as 24 frames per second, but there are only ten drawings per second, which is pretty slow by animation standards.

  • True that, 30 fps animation, 24 fps film. Although I couldn't stand shooting ones. I usually do 15 fps shooting on twos. Nice job by the way.

  • nice drawings. tying the shoe was great.

  • Good stuff. What did you use to make this?
