rotoscoping is drawing over real video footage. so basically, if you took any footage from any movie ever, and traced it to make a complete animation, you would be rotoscoping. check it out on wikipedia, my friend, hahaha.
ok guys, film yourself, import it into flash, add a layer above it, then draw on each keyframe and once you have done that delete the video and export
Excellent job. Did you scan every pic in. that would of taken forever!! or do you know a quicker way? I want to try a hand drawn rotoscope project. I've done one in photoshop which took me the whole year for an Art project. I put it on youtube if you want to check it out.
It was good. Prolly took alot of work, and time. the only thing that was funny though, was when he first went to open the door, the handle was the other way.
Sure, you could use the effect, but that doesn't give the best results.
Real Rotoscoping is drawing frame by frame over an already filmed video. It takes time and patience, and the end results can be amazing, like this video.
hi i loved your work we are an un sign band with not nuch money to spend on a video can you make us a video like this i think its gonna be very cool thanks
hi i loved your work we are an un sign band with not nuch money to spend on a video can you make us a video like this i think its gonna be very cool thanks
This is amazing. You say its only 10 frames per second? Wow, it still looks real smooth. Did you put transitions between frames or something? Yea you should add some sounds and music and then it would be the sickest little clip.
Nice rotoscoping, however you couldve rotoscoped out the camera shake in the profile walking scenes if it wasnt intentional... simply by marking his eye or something as a center and adjusting the printed out stills beneath each frame. Keep up the 2d animation!
tht muust be more than 600 frames, theres 24 frames per sec, werird lol, this is kool tho, doin it at college, might rotoscope a film scene, might take a while mind lol
this is hand made rotoscope

rotoscope is: well you film a video and you put rotoscope efects and you get like if it was drawn. its like a video on negative

liambob18 5 years ago
The video is exported as 24 frames per second, but there are only ten drawings per second, which is pretty slow by animation standards.
erikholman 5 years ago
True that, 30 fps animation, 24 fps film. Although I couldn't stand shooting ones. I usually do 15 fps shooting on twos. Nice job by the way.
