This is my favorite piece for organ - there's just something about it. I am Lutheran and have heard Bach pieces played in Church for years, and this is so moving.
I'm thinking of Virgil specially today, May 3,,his birthdate as I'm listening to this sublim music. I'm remembering along with many of you who remembered and sent me notes today. Thank you and blessing to you all.

I love the way he played this one. I met Virgil when I helped set up this Organ in the Plymouth- Whitemarsh High School Auditorium and attended his concerts at TUMFI. Virgil was always very nice and very gracious to me. Here it is 20 years after his untimely passing and I still miss the master of the keyboard.
@ShandyHall: Ooops, Sorry about that. Yes, 30 years is correct. He died right before he was supposed to do a concert in Philadelphia. My wife and I were going to attend.
I used to listen to "Diapason" on WFLN and I remember them making the announcement at the beginning of the show of his passing. and the whole crew of that radio station was in shock, you could hear it in their voices. Obviously that show was dedicated to him :(
thank you for your kind words George. We all miss him indeed. However think how lucky we were to have heard him live ourselves. Truely a blessing from God for those so fortunate. How lucky I was to have worked side by side with him for 19 years.

@vuillemr What is wrong with it, other than the bad recording quality?
