I can't help but notice that The President is not pro-Black. Another thing I've noticed is that the people who are claiming black heritage and are unusually critical of him are of dual or multi-race heritage. I read "White Guilt" by Shelby Steele a year or two ago and basically agreed everything that was written. It was kind of eye opening for me to know his so called "black conservative" point of view. At the same time, I thought that black community would be uplifted more quickly and better with his "black conservative" ways, approach and dicipline.

Actually what he's doing is trying a method that has been proven successful in American history. FDR and his New Deal plan gave millions of people jobs to stimulate the economy. It worked then it'll work now. He's putting money in your pockets and creating jobs. If people have money in their pockets they'll spend it. Thus pulling buisnesses out of debt and allowing for more real jobs to be created. Do you have a better solution right now. No. So what's your purpose. Learn your history.

Federal tax revenues will likely decline as the economy staggers into a full-on recession.

He will raise taxes from 36% to 39% for people and businesses making over 250K a year. Not exactly a huge jump. No where near "socialism". Those who make less than 250K don't need to be "quelled". I don't even know what you mean by that. Do you?
I had meant that the reason why most people wanted Obama to win was because they felt he could help them, during this rough time in the economy. And one thimg that the majority of them have said is that they feel that by taxing those who make 250k and upwards will help out their situations. But, and I say this as one of those who are of a low-income, I forsee numerous problems with the fact that those who make up to & over 250k would be taxed and those who are of a lesser income don't need to.

That's a ridiculous and unfounded arguement. None of those clothes belong to Sarah Palin and neither did she get to keep them. Try to come up with a better arguement to defend your position.

I agree with you 100%. I am a black man and I would NEVER vote for a person based on skin color. I vote based on principles I had long before the ballot was even known.

I can't help but notice that The President is not pro-Black. Another thing I've noticed is that the people who are claiming black heritage and are unusually critical of him are of dual or multi-race heritage. Very, very few dark skinned brothas that I know have had the "full black experience" are commenting in such a fashion. It just leaves me to wonder if their being black is even worth them mentioning?

Rick Sanchez' segment was good because it showed the reality which many people didn't know or expected. I read "White Guilt" by Shelby Steele a year or two ago and basically agreed everything that was written. It was kind of eye opening for me to know his so called "black conservative" point of view. You're pretty much right, Obama pussyfoots around substantive questions by using semantics. All I hear about is that he is the harbinger of change, just he hasn't said how he plans on going about it.
Race, is of course, a non issue -- being of mixed race myself, it's something I disregard; however it is refreshing to see a black man who opposes Obama simply because there are way too many sycophantic blacks that simply feel they can identify with Obama based on skin color.

Actually what he's doing is trying a method that has been proven successful in American history. FDR and his New Deal plan gave millions of people jobs to stimulate the economy. It worked then it'll work now. He's putting money in your pockets and creating jobs. If people have money in their pockets they'll spend it. Thus pulling buisnesses out of debt and allowing for more real jobs to be created. Do you have a better solution right now. No. So what's your purpose. Learn your history.

In short, what will the tax plan cause? Basically, amoung other things, fewer Americans would be interested in opening or expanding small businesses. Tax evasion & legal tax avoidance would spike, as tax shelters would once again become a booming industry. Since small businesses create a majority of jobs in America, Main Street closing up shop will have a direct impact on the family budget, too. Federal tax revenues will likely decline as the economy staggers into a full-on recession.

If raising taxes a few percentage points (up to where they were in the Regan era BTW) caused fewer Americans to be interested in opening up businesses then by that logic we should just eliminate tax all together so as to encourage the maximum amount of businesses opening. WE NEED TO PAY OUR DEBTS. McCain once called tax cuts "irresponsible in a time of war". He was right. They're also unprecedented. We are creating a mountain of debt for ourselves that has devalued the dollar.

I had meant that the reason why most people wanted Obama to win was because they felt he could help them, during this rough time in the economy. And one thimg that the majority of them have said is that they feel that by taxing those who make 250k and upwards will help out their situations. But, and I say this as one of those who are of a low-income, I forsee numerous problems with the fact that those who make up to & over 250k would be taxed and those who are of a lesser income don't need to.
