Actually, I think BMW was the first to put a turbo in a production-car back in the early 80`s.

The only reason they left the turbo was because the turbos back then had a lot of power lagg. Modern turbos today have no lagg so BMW is returning to it.

Well, WE may not need a 7.8l powerplant but some individuals with big bucks will buy them. If the GT-R gets 600bhp out of 3.8l, then it has to be subjected to more stress than a motor with larger displacement. Beside, I like torque, which comes with big cylinders!

In general, torque is a very hard thing to understand. Basicly the power output of an engine is its torque multiplied by the rotation speed, and it is a fact that the torque peak can not appear at higher rpm then the power peak. So more power = more torque, please, correct me if I'm wrong.
