@CPManJoe Yep. In fact, I'd say the only reasons you'd have for NOT hearing a horn in Ashland are - no one's waving, the crew isn't friendly, or nothing's blocking the tracks.

@CSXRP Funny thing - on my last visit (August 28th), I killed time before the last train talking to a local who said he lived just a block or two over from the tracks. He couldn't say enough about how he and his wife loved to hear the trains come through, ESPECIALLY when they blew their horns.

@NJCoastExp It certainly was, yes. Even though the Amtrak crews are prone to salutes in spite of the quiet zone, it still surprises me when they do it.
