  • ahh yes a song of the good old days

  • sounds great!

  • Pronounced "patty-roller" if you were still wondering. Great playing nontheless.

  • @shal0mnurh0me I was still wondering, thanks.

  • that's some good playing

  • that was cool ..

  • Love your banjo music!..5*****

  • Wonderful

  • NIce playing .. I love this tune though the words are very sad .. Glad those days are passed .. All the best . The farm looks great . Guy

  • Thanks! Speaking of the farm, my first calf was born this morning. Her and her mother are both healthy. I'll have a video of it soon.

  • great tune! nicely played. Ive been playing a year now and get frustrated at my slow progress, especially drop thumbing. Hopefully after 3 years i'll be as quick and smooth as this...you give me hope. Cheers

  • Thanks! I don't do much drop thumb myself. Most of the time, you can get the same effect a lot easier with a phantom hammer-on or some other technique.

  • nice pickin

  • Very nice how long have you been playing? Also looking foward to hearing you play log cabin in the lane for I have always enjoyed that song!

  • I've been playing for about 3 years. The first year or so I spent trying to learn 3-finger picking, which was frustrating and never went anywhere. Then I learned about clawhammer playing about a year and a half ago and never looked back.

  • I'm working on Log Cabin in the Lane right now. Thanks.

  • That's a good old song too. Might have to try that one myself.

  • Hell Yeah man!! You're quick! Great Job *****

  • Thanks! Did you get the message I sent you about a week ago?

  • Five Stars!!

  • Thanks for sharing.

Makes me want to find a real snare drum to play along. It has to have cat gut snares, calf hide skins and a deep shell. Gotta go carve me some sticks.

    Total fun

    Thanks again.

Had to listen twice (rare for me).

  • I can't imagine having talent that this. . . .

  • Its easier than it sounds. Some musicians do something hard and make it look easy; Banjo players do something easy and make it sound hard. At least that's what I do!

  • That's a very good description of banjo picking, I never really thought of it like that.

  • Awesome! *****
