@ProfessionalWatches Because the whole idea has no serious technical basis, it can only be for show. Precision timekeeping does not enter the equation here, but it will certainly be admired by the ignocenti all of whom know no better.
What a lovely watch. Ive just been looking in there collection book and this watch seems to be unavalible as it says "no request" but I'm guessing that this watch is worth at least £100,000 so it's out of my price range.
@Descalabro I think this reply doesn't make sense at all as a citizen quartz watch should definitely be more reliable than an ultra complicated mechanical or automatic. My question still stands unanswered
@followmyporn Every element of a Breguet is much better than any element in a Citizen, and a Breguet goes trough much more demanding quality tests, especially limited versions as these. Even though the complexity on the watch itself is greater in a Breguet I cannot for a second imagine the Breguet lasting less than a Citizen under the same conditions. It wouldn't be acceptable if a watch as expensive as this wouldn't last 5 years without maintenance. I would bet it lasts for some 30 years.
@Descalabro I do not mean to diss the Breguet in anyway infact I think it's an incredible piece of art, but you really can't compare a simple quartz with very few moving parts to one of the most complicated watches in the world. Example you may ruin a very nice expensive automatic by taking it on a bumpy bike ride though a cheap G-Shock would survive it.
@followmyporn Well, I get your point, but we shouldn't be comparing a Breguet to a G Shock, made specifically for hardcore use. In that case we should compare the G shock to the Zenith Zero-G.
Still, it would be quite an entertaining show to put watches like this Breguet to such a test. :D
never really saw the point of a tourbillion in a wristwatch .... But even though it doesn't have as important function as it does in a pocket watch, i got to say it looks amazing! Breguet is surely one of my favorite companies out there :)
@zorky101 So far it has not been proved that tourbillons are of any help in timekeeping. Some watchmakers even claim it is more of an aesthetical parasite since it consumes a lot of energy without significant improvements in accuracy. I like them anyway.
Surely this is this a fake Breguet? I can't imagine the great Abraham Louis having such a silly idea.

Let's say you were a billionaire, and you used this as your beater watch, you think it could last five yrs without maintenance?
followmyporn 1 year ago
@followmyporn My 150$ Citizen is working just fine after 4 years without maintenance, so I suppose a watch worth 340.000$ should have no problems.
