Thats awesome! Maybe Jace can teach me how to read because I totally thought your vid said "Singing". I was like, "wow a singing baby!"...it has been a loooong day :)
hahahaha Our eyes can play tricky games when we're tired! Some days, especially lately with us moving, I won't even realize how tired my body actually is until my eyes can't look straight, they start going cross eyed I get so tired, lol.
I love that you are signing with her! I have taught my little guy signs from the time he was born. He now knows over 40 signs! It is awesome because his verbal skills are not that great so he makes up for it with signs!
Why does anyone learn a 2nd language? lol I just want a well-rounded kid, and knowing a 2nd language gives her more opportunities than other kids who don't. Neither of us know Spanish, I have no need to learn it, I how ever did take French but hubby doesn't know it, I do teach Jacelyn what little I remember from Grade-HighSchool of being taught it. But she'll never learn it fluently unless she takes classes as well. Sign Language we both know and can teach her.
I dont know I just think if you know another language u can communite with people that might not know english or whatever language you speak use it has a second language.I know Spanish and french so when my parents talk in Spanish I can translate to my husband
i didn´t know that it was normal signing language! Sorry! It´s amazing how well she does it!
I had three foreign languages in school. First one was english then came russian and in grade 9 i started latin. The only one i can still use is english!
Oh yeah, I forgot they have "baby signing" but to me it's pointless. Why put so much time and effort into teaching them something they can't use later in life??? It's not like "baby signs" are easier than ASL signs, lol
Yah I don't remember much of what I took in HS either. I don't think many do unless it's Spanish b/c u can actually use that often enough around here in the south, Texas.
Do you know around when she started catching on? We have been doing it with my 7 month old for about a month now. When did she start to do it back to you? I know I shouldn't really expect it right now or in the couple of months for that matter.
I've heard/read that at around 6 months they are capable of remembering, but it takes at least 3 months on average of remembering a sign b4 they produce it, so most start producing their first sign at 9 months. It can happen earlier of course, or it could take longer than 3 months to learn a sign, just varies kid to kid.
I love when I see parents teaching their kids to sign!! It is so useful when they are young.. One of my daycare kids is 16 months he can talk now but he still signs more, please, milk, water, thank you. It just impresses me everyday!! So cute Jacelyn!! :o)
I love the Southern accents. Hopefully I can groom my kids to be like Jace.

Mostly because our brains don't read every single letter in a word, so it's natural. lol
