Great work. If you really wanna use the original Joystick this is awesome. I mostly keep my joystick as decoration and use my Tac 2 or wico stick for joystick games. But really good work man.
In my experience of standard Atari joysticks, the 'ring' at the bottom of the white plastic shaft in the centre of the joystick breaks, long before the leaf switches (press pads) will. I know there is a redesigned part available in the US to replace this, but there must be a DIY solution.

That is very awesome! I personally just use an European 7800 controller on my 7800. But this is just way cool and an excellent idea. Well done.
