We're happy with the improvements we have been seeing, and we're happy to see that conditions within the country are actually improving. We still have a long way to go, but we don't need your democracy. We saw what happened in the 90's.

No because if that was the case India and Russia would have difficulty in trading with each such things as weapons. Plus from what I remember is that many Indian films are quite popular with Russia...especially the latest "Slumdog Millionnaire" where in Russia is a rave or a huge hit. India is also a very very important ally of Russia.

no Russians are not racist. i personaly have even visited Goa a few years ago and its a lovely place with lovely people. Of course out of millions of people living in Russia some do become criminals but then this is the case with any country

Putin cares about his country, not the avrage person. He likes to keep general economic and political order, but does not think precisely of the education of average students, pension of average olders, corruption at average workplaces. There is a definite difference from western government- I think the concept of liberty and such is not developed (never was). Nevertheless with all the country improving, so do single lives of the people. This is how I see it. Of course I don't really live there.

To call Russians drunken vodka drinkers is like calling an American fat ass burger munchers, you see you lose your credibility there. Two, true there's not a rush cause its only been a democracy for 20 years so its stil a very young country in that respect. However Russia is known to be one of the most visited places on earth and people prefer it that way due to its harsh and unforgiving climate. However overall Russia's economically, militarily and worldly growing. Its population is too.

What other leader got to go to Bush's ranch? We depend on them as they do on us and that is an undisputed fact my friend.

Well during the Bush years I think the US image was in a pot hole. Hopefully President Barack Obama has improve the image of the country. But Russia seems a great country with a lot of history and culture, that's what makes interesting.

Anyone saying that a country is perfect there just lying. Every country around the world has it's problem, there is no perfect political system.

Why are Russians approving of Putin's policies? Because he restored order and stability to Russia after the Oligarch-democracy after the fall of the Soviet Union which Western powers like the U.S. welcomed very much. Russia is on the rise today and it's all thanks to Putin's policies and Russia's natural resources which he locked into state-control instead of private-control as in the Oligarch-days.

Are you kidding? Russian News are SO Much more OBJECTIVE than any Western news like this CNN. How often do you see Big developed stories on each time there are deaths in iraq? you dont. Whenever there is ANY insident in checnya however, even if it is someting minor, like a murder of a police officer, it is on the news for at least two days.

Independent reporters are silenced or slaughtered in Russia if their report doesn't appease the government. Independent reporters are not silenced or slaughtered NEARLY as often in North America, especially Canada (where im from).. Independent reporters tend to display what it actually Is, not being bias at all..

In any case, America has MANY more problems than Russia in my opinion..

Well idk about the amount of Problems, USA is still the great economic superpower, and russia is just recovering from a horrific crisis.. I wouldnt say that too many reporters are "slaughtered" in Russia.. 2 in 5 years is not that many, but USA ofcourse is much more free still in that sense.
