  • This will always be a very sad video for our family - we bought Carenza as just hull and decks and we (family) all worked so hard to make this such a beautiful yacht, We spent many years sailing her in all sorts of conditions - we know exactly how strong she was, she should have survived all adverse conditions - to do this to her was very sad indeed.

  • stuppid to sink the baot my be some one elce couls had towd it

  • "In France there is an organization that is dedicated to the rescue at sea? it's a shame to sink the boat. I understand that the navy did not want to tow it, but because sink

  • Why scuttle? It's not the job of the navy to tow a sailboat 300km at 6 knots. Towing faster than the hull speed would wreck the boat. Abandoning the boat would be a hazard to navigation.

  • er so why did they scuttle the boat , dont get it?

  • wow so much money down the drain. If I could salvage just 1/10th of all those boats scuttled at sea Id be a millionaire.

  • Ok, help me out here. Why did they scuttle it? Couldn't they have just pumped the water out? and/or towed it?

  • Sad the rig came down. If you want to see some more footage of a Chico 40 sailing in heavy weather, search heavy weather sailing skills ToSeeTheSea

  • wow this video was really good! quite interesting!

  • Tomas Bardfeild goes to my school yay!
