  • All time classic for me.

  • underated tune!

  • I'm in western Canada and I could Not agree with you more. WE (me and my buds)LOVED Angel City......As much as we loved AC/DC......We heard rumours that Doc had throat cancer and all kinds of BS.....probably started by Ray Davies.......GREAT BAND!

  • they were from a time when Aussie rock was truly great, unlike the recent CRAP we're producing and feeding to the general population!

  • é sempre a abrir

  • Wow! Doc's looking real young here!

  • It is such a sahme that these guys werent prmoted more here in the usa. They would have been up there with AC/Dc and others without a doubt. I only have two of their albums but I have heard other music by them that just is as fanstic as any band I have ever heard in my life. Oi Oi Oi to Angel City or as in OZ The Angels.

  • @KickapooLake Ironically, this song is based on their lack of promotion here...they went out to dinner with their record company execs and manager and the execs didn't even show up. It is a shame, I was glad my local station played the hell out of these guys and my buddy bought me this album for my 15th birthday. Great times...

  • @virnman It's really sad to see The Angels / Angel City not pormoted more here in the Midwest and across the states. One of the best bands ever to come out of OZ. My cousin had Night Attack and some years later I found Two Minute Waring and that is all I have seen on the store shelfs. Around 200 i wrote someone about there new album it was recorded live around Perth, AU in a club if I recall right. I showed these guys to a friend who lives in Denmark and he never heard of them. He does now :)

  • Mindblowing! These guys were so heavy, so tight, so in-the-groove, so melodic and so harmonic it blows my mind - I always loved 'em but the more i learn with time the better they get to me - truly the best band australia ever produced. I know they were relatively big but they deserved more - the highest pedestal in the Hall of Fame - not just in Australia but globally - they were up there with Zeppelin, ACDC, Gun n Roses - if not actually, possibly, probably, better. The BEST!?

  • @DocBrewster This band is THE BEST.Doc is the greatest frontman..you were never bored at an Angels concert. After so many years everytime I listen to an angels album i jump around as i did years ago. They're a legend.

  • @DocBrewster whoa!!! slow down tonto!! good band, but they needed a few more songs to be taken seriously. Not in Zeppelins ballpark, but not bad. This song yeah, Marseilles, also, but come on what else really left a mark? dig the guitarist with his pose. A lot of Aussie talent, the hyperbole may be a little whack on your excitement here dude. Don't jizz all over yourself. Definitely not to be mentioned with the best ( unless you were in the band, then you get a pass).

  • @cbmdg8551976 "A FEW MORE SONGS"? They have about TWENTY rip snorting crankers - ACDC only had about 6 - likewise Zeppelin !!! - check my channel playlist - there's more to them than you think!

  • @DocBrewster I get the Aussie pride factor, its cool. We all have our favorite bands and no doubt these dudes are up there for you. I want to take you seriously but its hard to when you discount Zeppelin and their impact on the Rock landscape. Who's next ? Stones, Who, Kinks and Beatles? I agree with you about AC\DC (Aussie Drunken blues band) cause they were limited. I'm not a big Zep fan but I admit they had alot more than a couple songs. Did you mean 6 songs per album? I'll check your channel

  • @cbmdg8551976 Im not a big Zep fan either - a few songs are great but not many - though most of it is solid and they were pioneers to a degree so we have to recognize them. Apparently Page played on 50% of the albums released in the UK in the 60s (as a session muso) - that's MASSIVE and deserves respect.

For me The Angels is nothing to do with aussie pride- I just think they made superb music - I have heard plenty of comments (many from USA) saying they were as good as any band in the world.

  • @cbmdg8551976 EG look at Kickapoolake's comment above - Ive seen dozens of comments like that. They really were great - have a drink and a spliff and sit down one friday night and run through my playlist - see if you get into it. ;)

  • Big Fan - ya! Rock it! Fashion and FAME! Eats em up and spits em up - gotta be strong to handle FAME!

  • Great band, great song. I saw them on this tour - twice on the "Face to Face" tour - and they were a distinctly original band with great songs and a great front man in Doc Neeson!

  • This is my favourite Angels song but they don't sing it live anymore....so disappointed! Doc Rocks!!

  • they were GREAT saw them with the kinks and judice prest it was a killer concert

  • i saw them once here in the state's and they were fucking awsome !!!

  • Fantastic....how good were they live...love it...

  • I agree this is a great song. I'm sure they played TX around this time. Saw the reunion concerts recently , just excellent. Maybe you need to come to Australia and see the next series of gigs in July/Auguust 2009?

  • it wasnt at the palais because eon fm played that concert live on the radio and the crowd sang along and drowned doc out

  • Sorry HardRockingAlanah it was. You may notice this was done at soundcheck prior to the live gig, they played 2 nights. Also it's in the fine print of the LiveLine CD booklet.

  • Great vid. Where was this recorded???

  • Palais Theatre, Melbourne December 81'on Australian Night Attack Tour

  • The Roxy!! Angels Fortitude Valley.. Memories..

  • sexy rock gods, love love love them!!

  • i agree. such a sick ass act..

  • Every bit as good as ACDC and then a lot more on top of that - these guys deserved mega-stardom - up there with Led Zeppelin and the all-time greats!

    What the fuck happened?!

    Fuck pop marketing bullshit!

  • Agree every bit as good as AC/DC with a unique paranoid twist.

    Great song live.
