I just did that mark in chapter 11, it was really hard, took me a good 15 tries but by using ur strategy, it did work but i have still the five other enemys to deal even with the vanille eidolon dmg that wasn't enough to kill some. Was really hard at first to kill fast one at time but manage to kill them all. But ty for ur strategy, it work well.

Took me an hour and a half just to get death on the guy. I then died against the white guys cause Vanille couldn't heal in time and died while Hecatonchier was out. He revived me and I was screwed. FUCK THIS FIGHT. I'd rather grind. At least then I'm actually doing something.

Followed HCBailly's methods to the T here but I don't think I'm gonna take on this hunt. I know the growth egg is insanely awesome and doubles exp but as I'll be doing WAY more grinding eventually anyway (maxing out everyone in every roll) I don't think it matters just yet. I'll get it for much later Adamantoise grinding when it starts to get slow(ish). I wanna do all the missions in order plus the death trick feels a little cheap.

HCBailly, I've noticed that when the lead character is on medic, the other characters in the party have what resembles a break/stagger gauge in the upper right hand corner. I've never had it happen, but can members of your party become staggered? If not, is there anything that it is used for?

I used the same strategy to take out Neochu. However, it took me MANY tries to take him out. That Screech attack can be so annoying.

The Growth Egg is well worth it at that point in the game. Later on, it becomes worthless, considering all the other CP you can farm....

Just in case anyone wants to look up the "unique character skills" for themselves, they're referred to as "Full ATB Skills" in most databases. They're quite cool to see, so I'd recommend looking them up.

Also, Vanille's Death works better if you have Faith on her and Imperil on the Neochu, but it also works better if you switch to Infiltration (SAB/SAB/SAB) before the damage numbers appear on the screen. This is because its chances of hitting are better depending on how many SABs you have.

The easyest way to grind is to have fang as ldr, snow and lightning as helpers. Have the growth egg and fight adamantoises! You stagger the leg and then use highwind. Do the same for the other one and then repeat on the head lol.. 40,000 cp with the egg equipped i think...

For it to have a decent chance of success of success you need a bunch of debuffs on it and if you can do that, you could in most instance use some combination of commando and ravagers to just win.
