Anyway I finally got around to getting my Car Licence, I've had the motorcycle one for 6 years now, just no car. @Lukimel00987 GM powers? i don't think so.....the loophole was that the custom security patch for the clientside hack was corrupted when they tried to update it to 3.1.0, so this was possible, for this video, I was using WPE Pro, but a few days after making this video I figured out how to do it with HexEdit using the cache files. Nonetheless this is an outdated file and I don't bother with WoW anymore. DOing more 'fun' things now.

@mastersam0 Notice the date of the submission of this video, May 2009, generally speaking, when someone puts up a video of a hack on a server, whether it be a private or real server, any game for that matter, the host of this game usually gets wind of the video pretty quick about it afterwards. So suffice to say, this exploit has been pretty much patched and was a loophole in most 3.0.9 private servers only, it worked for a few 3.1.0 but not many, This exploit doesn't is fixed in all other.

Looks good, I also learned how to change items to other items, dupe and some simple spell shit with wpe but its all fixed on the big servers. Too bad there are no major exploits/hacks popping up for 3.x.x versions nowadays.

yeah, got all my toons banned for it already, xD, was fun though, gotta work now so not gonna have any time for wow. Its simple to do, just drop your itemcache into a hex editor. Then just modify the items spell into something else. I took down my video and I dont have the connection to reupload it atm, so good luck., basically cache a potion in your cache, take it into hex workshop(or whatever you use), modify the spell, go into the game, get them potions and right click on em and cast it.

the use effect of a potion is a spell, just find the spell for the potion you wish to use, and modify it to something else, requires some basic hex knowledge and how to lookup spells on a db site like wowhead or something. I used a potion in my video but changed the item ID to something else like a soulshard and a totem, because they dont dissapear upon usage as they arent consumable items. only works on wowge and any low security server.

I hope that helps you out some, if not, you need to goto mmowned and learn a few basics about manipulating data in wow, eventually you'll be able to figure out simple bugs and exploits like mines. goodluck.

one more note, THIS WORKS BECAUSE OF A BUG IN THE SYSTEM, as soon as they patch it(really easy to do, just requires the admin to restart the server twice, but she's a bit, eh....., so once its patched, it wont work, your items will stil say the modified spell but when you goto use the custom spell, nothing happens, or you'll just use the original items effect if any.
