I do like the 49ers as a team but all I am saying is Alex Smith isnt the reason they are winning. Its good coaching, defense, and the run game. OVer his entire career Alex Smith averages 178.6 yards a game and has 66 TDs and 58 INts....not what you expect from a former number one pick
Troy is better than Alex Smith any day of the week. Twice as much talent. He can actually beat a team with his arm and legs unlike Alex. I admire what Alex is doing this year in terms of game management but if he has to lead a two minute drill in the playoffs the 9ers are cooked.
@09ewarren lmao he has beaten 3 teams this year on his arm idiot and no he is not more talented and i thought he had more heart but looking at it he doesnt have that either so no alex is way better sorry
@09ewarren Sorry but Alex is hands down better than Troy. Why do you think Alex is still a starting QB and Troy is a 3rd string QB in the UFL? Yes, he's a backup QB in the UFL. I liked Troy, but last season when Singletary started Troy over Alex in the rams week 16 game, I was very upset. Alex is better than Troy. Alex has lead more 2 minute drills/comebacks than Troy has in his college and pro career combined. Alex leads the league this year in 4th quarter comebacks. Nuff said. I like Troy too.
@JoshuaKiwi Hey idiot I'm not the professional athlete, Troy Smith is. Troy sucks. Do you see him starting for another NFL team right now? Hmm lets see if he was so good why are QB desperate teams like the Seahawks and Dolphins preferring to go with guys like Tavaris Jackson and Chad Henne over the great Troy Smith?
@jpete3027666 I never said he was "Great" now did I. I said you go try to make the perfect pass. So don't say I said he was. But I still thinks its funny you say he sucks but I dont see you getting drafted by any nfl team.
@jpete3027666 yeah because you know what it takes to be an NFL caliber quarterback much less a heisman winning QB. i played qb my soph year in high school and it aint easy. stand 10 yards away from troy smith and try catching one of his balls with some zip on it. i bet your faggot hands wouldn't catch one ball. stfu you know nothing. he has a gun. so what if he didnt make it hes still good as hell
@jpete3027666 ill agree that troy smith isn't a good NFL QB and that he did throw to a pretty good wr but ill but my salary that you couldn't make that throw with no pressure on you.
Im not a 9ers fan, but im a Bucks fan and I know that Smith has true potential in the NFL. All he needs is a chance. San Fran really needs to learn to use him to his full capability. Or send him over to Washngton for the Skinz :)
Tell me why In the same Fucking hell we got rid of Troy Smith and Kept that damn dumb fucking Idiot Alex Smith!!! Harbaugh we will be heard this year. You put Alex on the field even if the Rookie does better than him. You will not hear the end of it!!!! You want a winning season bench Alex's Ass.. Got That. You should of Kept Troy and showed Alex to the door and say, "Don't let the damn Door hit your ass on the way out". Gruden would of kept Troy and fired Alex Smith. Thanks York Jack Ass!
@swissbeats2k This play kind of recembles Joe Montanna's Throwing ability.. Yeah York and the whole damn Organization went down the tubes after Eddie DeBarlo left... I saw a team with Shawn Hill 3 years ago. Now they did yet again... Keeping Alex Smith... The fans will be heard this season when Alex throws for the hell of it.. After being 4-0 during the Practice Games and they pull this shit. 6-10. It would of been reverced if they kept Troy.. But again We wil be heard.
EMC is right, it wasn't a good throw. The goal is not always to hit the guy on the numbers. Troy should have led Crabs up the field more so he didn't have to stop his momentum and give the corner an opportunity to make a play on the ball. He is right, he was bailed out by the fact that Crabs got so much separation on his route that the defender could not recover.
@EMC219 agreed, just an awful throw to hit his receiver right between the numbers, just a shitty shitty shitty throw. Plus he got it there on time before the safety could blow Crabtree up like Alex Smith would've done. Go TROY!
sorry but no way. that was luck that the cb wasn't in place. had he thrown that while the cb had good coverage it would have been a pick. all he had to do was float it slightly ahead of him. not dissing you though
@cshizzle53 It was a bad throw. He didn't need to throw a back shoulder fade. The corner was way off Crabtree. All TS needed to do was lead the WR up the field instead off making him wait for the ball and giving the CB an opportunity to make a play on the ball.
the niners should have stuck with troy smith

Troy Smith sucks. Crabs was wide open and he still threw behind him. Crabs had to wait for it to catch it.
