I do like the 49ers as a team but all I am saying is Alex Smith isnt the reason they are winning. Its good coaching, defense, and the run game. OVer his entire career Alex Smith averages 178.6 yards a game and has 66 TDs and 58 INts....not what you expect from a former number one pick

Troy is better than Alex Smith any day of the week. Twice as much talent. He can actually beat a team with his arm and legs unlike Alex. I admire what Alex is doing this year in terms of game management but if he has to lead a two minute drill in the playoffs the 9ers are cooked.

I liked Troy, but last season when Singletary started Troy over Alex in the rams week 16 game, I was very upset. Alex is better than Troy. Alex has lead more 2 minute drills/comebacks than Troy has in his college and pro career combined. Alex leads the league this year in 4th quarter comebacks. Nuff said. I like Troy too.

EMC is right, it wasn't a good throw. The goal is not always to hit the guy on the numbers. Troy should have led Crabs up the field more so he didn't have to stop his momentum and give the corner an opportunity to make a play on the ball. He is right, he was bailed out by the fact that Crabs got so much separation on his route that the defender could not recover.
