@Daymjo no uts actually more complex than that, he didnt kill her, she lost a bet with satan. the bet consisted that if he was really the man that she thougth he is satan would leave her alone but since dante had sex with a prisoner's wife, the husband followed dante home and killed her, and losing his bet with the devil she went to hell. the story is nothing like god of war but the gamplay does.

This games real cool i got it yesterday and have been playing it heaps almost finished it. Its cool because after you finish you can do a second playthrough with all upgrades and powers and collectibles still equiped and you can find all the ones you missed to get the acheivments and trophys. the graphics are cool you come across massive bosses very reguraly and some cool enemys like these naked women who have these big tentacles that come out of their twats and whip you

That said, both of the games have a WAAAY different story, this one is in medieval times and you go to hell against Satan and his demons.. GoW is based on Greek mythology, with Gods and everything.. but WAAY DIFFERENT stories.

this game looks good. But come on wtf is with the story line that has nothing to do with the real Dante's Inferno. He never killed anyone... in the stories and he was a poet not some warrior. Here we go again with people exaggerating classic things. Just like for example 300... or any movie Hollywood took a "real" story from. It looks like a great game, but playing after realizing this is not what Dante actually wrote about it is going to make me want to break the disc in half.
