Limited to 100 ks? That's weird, coz I often have trucks fair up my clacker even when I'm going a bit over 100 ks. Unless companies remove the limiters or something...
You fucking wanker...he overtook because you were doing 80km an hour you fucking tool...I bet you sped up as well...getting all "oh fuck Im gonna get overtaken by a truck".....next time...pull over when he is a tiny dot in your mirror ...fucking idiot
curleys are limited to 90klm you fucking, drongo do the limit, or get out of there way you fucking tourist, you would have no idea about, these drivers conditions, or work load for the day, untill then respect and shut the fuck up.
@TheDarkangel025 yeah thats clever, and when the roadtrain hits a kangeroo or other wildlife and they get pulled underneath, then guess what comes flying out the back at your car at 120kph, and trust me you will shit your pants when it does.....
@vanwahlgren Very few road train drivers bother with reversing trailers unless they absolutely have to. Most yards that use them tend to have enough room to turn around
@kalanike All Australian trucks over 8 tonnes are electronically limted to 100km/h (63mph). Road trains are limited to 90km/h (56mph) by law, not governance. The top highway speed limit caries from state to state. In the Northern Territory it's 130km/h. Western Australia and South Australia, it's 110km/h. Most others are limited to 100
@TheRooSkittler Because they've messed with the trucks. It's an Australian design rule; any new truck must be electronically limited to 100km/h. Anything that can go faster has had that limiter removed. If they're going downhill, it's possible, but not on a flat section of road
I watched a dvd called kenworth country last year and they said they were limited to 80kmh. Has the speed limit been 80kmh in the past? 90kmh, same as new zealand.

They say a good rule is to flash your headlights to tell the road train driver that he/or she can pull in after overtaking you.

Lol, that's a tiny road train.

You would probably have saved even more fuel if you had sped up to 120km/h and sat in his slipstream. Less air resistance=less fuel burned.

is this limit for road trains or for every trucks? how is regulated the different between personal car and truck? weight, or somthing else?
marvu00 2 years ago
If i'm not mistaken it's only for trucks and buses, but both you and I know that a fully loaded rig can do over that speed limit.
I know someone from Australia can correct me on this. :-)
kalanike 2 years ago
Thanks. In Europe every car above 3,5tons is limited by electronics to ~90km/h. From 88 to 93km/h.

@Mechknight73 What have you been smoking only TNT i think puts limiters in their trucks. Every one i talk to sits on 105 going in and out of Perth.
The one thing that pisses me off is some cunt not doing the speed limit, makes me want to put my tipper truck right up there arse
