wow I wasn't watching the video all I did was hear it and I thought you were playing just the guitar part. But then I realized it was you singing, you sound just like Roger McGuinn. I have some questions, did McGuinn mainly use 360/12s or 370/12s?? Where did you get those awesome McGuinn glasses?? Also wondering if you could write out some tab considering I can't find any decent Byrds tabs and it would be much appreciated. Thank you
Hey, saying that my Byrds rendition is as good at Tom Petty's is a heck of a complement. Thank you. You have a great sound too. I like the Deja Vu song. You have a good voice for doing Fogerty, Neil Young, and the like.
David: Again, your Byrds' renditions are THE BEST on You Tube!!!! I was wondering if you would attempt the solo at the end-- and you nailed it BEAUTIFULLY!!!!! We need MORE!!!!!!!!!!!
Right on...thanks. I'll work on more. I just need to lay down some more backing tracks. Michael Clarke does interesting beats in many songs. And Chris Hillman seems to play the higher octaves on the bass in their early stuff. So learning their parts doesn't come natural.
Dave, another cracking rendition of a Byrds classic! I use the Firefox browser and I have a plug-in that allows capture-to-disk for YouTube videos. Considering that I've got one of those new Seagate terabyte drives, there's room for zillions more of your videos. Keep em' coming! If you listen carefully to the original Byrds recordings, you'll notice that Crosby was indeed a vary good rhythm guitarist. Are you recording a rhythm track in these videos? Maybe I'm too old to hear it.
More excellent Byrd-mania unleashed! :-D Hi, Dave . . . you must've posted this after I signed-off yesterday. Sounding really good, as always. By the way, which pickup do you use, normall, for the Byrds stuff? I know this is a 3-*Seventy*, which has the center pickup, and wondered if maybe that was the one you used. I've only had my hands on a Ric Twelve once or twice, and the last time was several years ago. Keep up the great work, and "may you soon meet-up with a vocal double for Gene Clark"!
I use the most treble pickup with compression. And I plug it directly into a mixing board. Then I plug that directly into the camcorder through the phones jack.
Great guitar sound.

That was a quite astonishingly authentic cover, I don't know Tom Pettys tribute but this was excellent! Thanks to 2wheelsturnin for sharing.

That was excellent, man. I rate it right up there with the Tom Petty 'tribute' version of 'Feel a whole lot better'.

Nice. Running straight into the mixing board is very Roger McGuinn. Nice job, man. Great ring and chime. Really good vocals. Keep 'em coming!
