oh my oh my,i remember watching Icky Twerp, i watched him everyday in the mourning time getting ready 2 go 2 bluebonnet elementary school in fort worth texas, this was back when t.v. had some class, what memories, what memories.
Woah! Having grown up in Ft. Worth watching KTVT channel 11, this is a real treat. Slam Bang Theater...I would never have thought I would see this on youtube today. I see other postings by folks who grew up in the same time, same era...Mr. Pepperment...woah...haven't thought of him in many years either. Thanks for posting this!
This brings back such wonderful memories. I grew up in the DFW area and watched this and Mr. Peppermint every day it was on. To have the good ole days back!
FANNNNNNNNtastic. I have always wanted to see Icky again. Some of the best memories of my childhood are of watching Slam Bang Theater. Brought a tear to my eye and a big smile to my face. Kids today wouldn't enjoy his humor. It was all just clean fun. Shame there's not more of it today.
OMG ! I was ON the Slam Bang Theater when I was in the Blue Birds ! heasked me the all important question "What is this sound?" and the answer was (of course) the sound of an airplane landing which is what i told him since I watched the show ALL the time. He gave me a Barbie coloring book. After 42 yrs. I'll never forget it. :o)))))
I watched Slam Bang theater each and every day that it was on. I was raised in North Richland Hills, Tx. After Slam Bang theater , then I would wait for The Three Stooges !
Oh yeah... briefly spending my childhood in north Texas, I watched Slam Bang Theatre on "lively 11" KTVT, and the gentler antics of Mr. Peppermint on channel 8 WFAA!
That brings back such memories. Thanks!

Awesome post, richardallankent!
I'd like to see the bit they did with Icky buying a car from Ajax again.
Thanks for a fantastic blast from the past. They just don't do stuff like this anymore.
