I think the fact that you dont need a $1500 dollar computer to play it makes it a notch above the rest. I didnt even get Shogun2 because the lag in the demo ruined the experience. I can play this and its smooth as a movie. I dont have to worry about a 10 minute battle taking 3/4 of an hour.

No need to worry where its downloaded from. Get Realplayer though. You need that on your desktop. I just create a file on desktop and highlight and drag all my Rome Total War files to that, then drag that to my Itunes playlist which I name Rome Total War. Easy

does anyone know if the other roman factions can start a civil war? im julii and iv conquered gaul and iberia but the brutii have conquered more than half of the eastern part of the map! scipii are in a petty war with greek cities but they not important. the brutiis "senate" bar is maxed and thier "people" bar is nearly maxed!

What diffuculty lvl have chosed? Also you should know that Brutii is the Roman Faction there's closets to Wonders. Besides from being great for your economy, they also raise the public order witch is important, for maintaining your Empire. The wonder i most prefer is the: "Colosus" because of the gidt of naval trade (40% extra from naval trade :D) it gives me.

well im a casual gamer so i play on normal/easy but i never cheat in total war. brutii and scipii divided greece between them and then brutii went north and took scythia, dacia, germania and scipii went east to conquer turkey so no wonders for anyone but scipii :) also the brutii have started to spam small armies in my gallic and northern italian provinces. small armies as in single units of archers and wardogs. its starting to get a bit freaky

It's easy to play with Brutii because you can't simply lose when you have unstoppable economy! (ok, when you encounter Egypt in the middleeast, they can give you some fights) Sciipi useally goes for north Africa, what happened?

at the beggining of the game scipii were nearly crushed by the greek cities in southern italy so maybe thats why... numidia invaded carthage and took all its cities, forcing carthage into north east iberia. maybe any attempts by scipii to invade N.A. were defeated by numidia... reason i know all this stuff is because i spam spys and brutii spam diplomats and btw the egyptions took over east turkey and southwards and are now at war with scipii and numidia. Quite an interesting game i have...

The problem with egypt is that they have so many chariots. If you just convoy over armies to take all their coastal cities, you don't have to deal with them.
