  • This is awesome.....

  • Music should be able to transport real feelings, but today's topics are sexyness, craziness, money... I am tired of such songs... fuck BEP, fuck Akon...

songs like this should be sung... I am serious with that!

there are too many of these fckn "musician" today.. its all about money...

might real music last forever and gain back glory of former times...

  • She's going to be 70 in May.

    Time flies!

  • Great song!!

  • Got a tear in my eye, what a fantastic duet

  • What a cute singing duo... and one of my very favorite all time songs!

  • Love the song...to bad he's such a dork....

  • @adicgozinya they are both a good looking, back then people had class and looked like him.

  • Such a wonderful woman and song... Dammit i was born in the wrong era!

  • A beautiful girl,,,A beautiful song,,,,A beautiful voice....A wonderous mixture....So much emotion projected into this song. I would will to meet Jill Jackson or even just talk to her one time. I am so amazed and touched by this.

  • I wish falling in love with someone was like this now-a-days

  • Continued... I asked this gorgeous girl about it and she said she was "Paula" on the song and I about passed out. We talked for about 45 minutes and she was the one of the nicest girl I ever met. She treated me like she had known me forever and needless to say I was in love forever. That was over 47 years ago and it was for sure one of the biggest highlights of my life. Jill was just as gorgeous as her beautiful voice. "Hey Paula" at the time was a sure favorite and still is today..I love her.

  • This is a true story...In 1964 I just got out of the Air Force after serving 4 years at Carswell AFB in Ft Worth Tx and needing a job right away I went to work for a carpet cleaning co. On one of my 1st days I got a job to clean carpet in west Ft Worth and as I looked at the address it was for a Jill Jackson and to me a stranger. While there I noted that the girl was about my age, 22 at the time. And I fell in love on the spot. I noticed a Gold Record on the mantel that was "Hey Paula".

  • olen aina tykännyt tästä

  • Such great memories!

  • ray & jill great singing couple

  • The mother of Paulie Teutul, the guy who builds motorcycles on TV's American Chopper, is named Paula. So his parents are Paul and Paula. I shit thee not. (Not "this" P&P, just so we don't get confused!)

  • @therealjoebloggs you must be mistaken, the coincidence would be too incredible

  • @Knight192 "You could look it up," as the expression goes; the wikipedia article on Paul Teutel Sr has that info.

  • What would have done without the internet and Youtube. Where else would we be able to view all the old gems.

  • Ray Hildebrand and Jill Jackson sure make a cute couple there? And I sure love there voices together!

  • Lip sync just like Lady GOOGOO, Justin etc.

  • Wow Ray Hildebrand is very cute there!! And she is gorgeous. Great voices; great song! Thanks for posting :)

  • Wow, was that an innocent time!

  • Great memories, great song. Someone actually said they dislike? Wow. Clean the wax out of your ears please.

  • Still sounds fantastic almost 50 YEARS later!

  • @hayesman76 Always will sound great I think.......

  • Pure teen bubblegum but fantastic. If this doesn't get to you then you're ready to be put in a box.

  • @jimbowie09 My favorite part too.

  • No..

    RAY AND JILL

  • Their real names are

    RAY AND JILL...

    Great song from

    1963..

  • @TheSilvergold45 I thought their names were Steve and Edie...

  • Her smile is so cute!

  • Wow... Fantastic.. :)

  • Her beautiful voice and that look of hers drives me crazy . . .

  • @Aruji09 Me Too!!!! OMG. To much...She is sooooooooooooo georgous.

  • @Aruji09 Weren't they brother and sister in real life

  • @rdwoods1949 I don't think so. Maybe you're thinking of somebody else for example; Terry & Susan & Jack. (Poppy family, "Which way you going Billy") ?

  • I played this over & over in 63.

    I sang* Hey Hey David...

The time sliped away so fast.

  • Jill Jackson is 69 now but God what an absolute cutie in her day. Classic song also.

  • @bernardbleach Do you see, in her eyes, the absolute pure, unadulterated, ethereal love that she has for Paul? My, if my own true love would gaze into my own eyes with that expression. And, yes, Jill is absolutely adorable; the epitome of "cute." And this song, the epitome of love expressed between a man and a woman. My, how I miss those days of innocence.

  • I met Ray Hildebrand one time, great guy and a great singer fifty years later

  • Something about this song makes me feel sad.

Probably because I lost my "David".

  • Thats cute! im young,.. but i wish that i was on earth to this time! I Love the 50s the 60s!!!

  • @painkiller2102 It was a great time to be on earth. I was there. It was a time when people could actually love each other. Enjoy your time now and take care.

  • @CADAZAN

yes i´ll do! i hate you,.... cause you´re there and i´m not! ;) Thx Bro!

  • The eventually divorced.

  • What a lovely song. And aren't they fabulous together. I think I saw them in a couple of movies when I was a teenager. Thank you.

  • classic!!!

  • True love birds! Ain't love grand?

  • to mial byc pierwszy utwor na naszym weselu....

  • paula is stunning

  • I love the "Hey, hey, hey Paul" so much!!

  • 1963-the last year of innocence and good music before the beagles fom england ruined our music.

  • Jill Jackson & Ray Hildebrand were the music team of Paul and Paula. He left the duo and went back to college in 1965 and she had a solo career. However this is a great song Ray had written and the two put duo's on the map. Timeless music that shows the innocence of the era. Too bad music has to be so nasty these days with foul lyrics and cussing. Times sure have changed!

  • @Helga1232 i agree!!

  • edie hunter,

your on my mind again, your a great memory gal!!

  • if you love this like do , check out CONNIE FRANCIS

  • I absolutely love this song and the lyrics are so touching!

  • Oh my god, she is soo beautiful.

  • I swear i was born in the wrong era..I love music from the 60's and just everything back then seemed so much less hectic like it is now. The music was better, and everyone is right, you don't find music like this anymore.

  • What a Great Song this is and to see footage of these 2 together is just amazing.

    Thanks for this Posting.

  • awesome!!! great love song of the 60s, i used to sing this song to my sweetheart, her name was Joey, great memories, good post.

  • What's wild is I've meet a couple who married named Paul and Paula and while in college I met a married couple name Bernie and Bernadette. Strange, huh?

  • eric forman.

  • It's such a treat when a girl singer turns out to look as good as she sounds!

  • This was Batman's favorite song.

  • wow her and her voice are beautiful.

  • My name is Paula & since I heard this song, I am desperatley looking for a guy named Paul! :)

  • The memories this brings back....WOW!!!! It is such a shame that simple, meaningful songs like this are not longer popular......they had the essence of good recordings.....words, a beat, a melody.... I was in school in that era, the 50s and 60s, and sure do miss the great music.......Thank goodness for YouTube!

  • I wanna have a timemachine! It must where a great time!

  • wish for a time machine , i do , but unfortunately the only thing that can generate 1.21 gigiwatts is a bolt of lightining but you never know when , or where it will strike...."we do now , doc" wrong song , wrong movie but everyone seeing this gets the point. BACK TO THE FUCK THE DEMOCRATS ARE IN OFFICE

  • Ray Hildebrand and Jill Jackson were "Paul & Paula" and this IS Ray in the video. Ray left in 1965 and there was no replacement for him.

Jill and Ray still get together occasionally for "Oldies Reunion Shows" but Ray went on to become a very successful Christian songwriter.

  • Another example of the make-believe love that songs and movies used to portray in the 40s, 50s, 60s and... oh, my... the 70s changed a few things!

  • Oh my... She was beautiful, so incredibly beautiful

  • Its lipsynching PEOPLE.

Just what every artist does when they produce a VIDEOclip so that it get aired on TV MTV etc.etcetcetc.

  • o the beginnings of lip synching is so hilarious!

  • There's nothing on this earth that those eye's couldn't melt.

  • OMG, I'm sorry but those last comments are beyond stupid. Paul and Paula are lip syncing to their record (I can't believe I'm even wasting my time writing this comment).

  • Now, are they actually singing? Because in some parts, it doesn't look like their mouths match the words.

I know, I know that this is her real voice (can't tell about him. I know that isn't the real Paul, he was replaced). But is she actually singing there, or, lip syncing the words?

  • @narutoandhinata4eva9

No she is not singing live! its lipsynch stuff :)

By the way what happen with this Original Paul guy?

    why was he Banned ;);)

  • Great voices

  • Wish my name was paul

  • One of the best songs ever.

  • The connoisseurnic remastered version is considerably better than this version.

  • This sounds better than the recorded version.

  • she is such a little cutie!

  • If you love oldies join DOOWOP WILL LIVE ON on facebook. we have oldies trivia and more

  • Just great! Thanks :)

  • Is it love when you just can't stop thinking about her, even for 1 second?

  • Brave, Bravo!!! Nothing is more Beautiful than how she looks at him.... Did she marry him?

  • @califrisco4321 No, she didn't marry Ray and this is not Ray Hildebrand the real "Paul". this was after he left and she got this guy to fill in for him. I think his name was Larry. She married a man whose last name is Landon. Ray married his sweetheart who died of cancer in 1999. He is still a great guy and he and Jill (Paula) still sing together sometimes for special events.

  • @upwards11 I was listening to an oldies station a few years ago and the DJ was saying that Ray Hildebrand was getting $10,000 a year in royalties for this song. If I remember right, this is the only song he wrote that went to number 1.

    It is a beautiful song.

  • wow veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy nice

  • This is the best song after elvis or somebody else singer

  • I love how they sing to each other. Its so adorable. If love still meant this.. Everyone would be happy <3

  • Jill was simply drop-dead gorgeous!

  • wish people would sing like this now a days .............

i will always love this song

  • @tere9009 I might only be 21 years old, but i just can't get over how amazing and simple the songs were back then. Every one in my office and shop joke about how I'm stuck in a generation I wasn't even born in. Just wish artists like this were still alive and making music nowadays.

  • @phenom1127 I feel sorry for the people working in your office. There's good and bad music and it doesn't matter if it were recorded in 1956, 1969, 1987 etc.

  • I've seen this vid before - but the quality on this is superb! Well done!
