Guru ji's bani says: Na hum hindu, na musalmaan. Allah ram ke pind praan. It means that nobody is a hindu or a muslim. We all have come from Allah and Ram (both allude to the one and only true God).
So Guru ji did not belong to one religion and not the other, he only belonged to the Name of God.
By segregating any one person into a religion, you are missing the bigger point of what religion teaches: In front of God, we are all equals. No one person is greater or lesser because of religion.

which history books are u referring to conclude that guru gobind singh was killed by moghul. Even guru teg bahadur sahib himself sacrificed his life to save hindu people whom moghul was forcibly converting. he set example by giving sacrifice for other religion which none of other prophets of world did ever. bahadur shah was great devotee of guru gobind singh, and killing moghul kings was not motive of sikh gurus. even akabar visited guru arjun dev to get spiritual teachings.

in 1947 whosoever participated in massacre was not related to specific religion, the fight was rather political and people from all the religion got involved which was actually against the massage of humanity given by all religions. regarding 1984, everybody knows that main culprit was killed by sikhs in very short time.

guru sahiban sacrificed their life due to request by kashmiri pandits, because due to forceful conversion campaign of auranzeb, pandits asked aurangzeb that if guru teg bahadur accepts conversion to islam then all the hindus will get converted. guru ji himself went to Delhi for dialouge, and when moghul could not convince guru sahib then they gave 2 options, accept islam or death. guru chose path of sacrifice to safeguard right of freedom to follow religion as per faith.

sikhs wanted all religions to live togather. During the time of Sikh empire ruled by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, even muslims were included as ministers in Maharaja's ministry. Ranjit Singh's Empire was secular, none of the subjects were discriminated against on account of their religions.The Maharaja never forced Sikhism on his subjects unlike moghuls.

Guru ji's bani says: Na hum hindu, na musalmaan. Allah ram ke pind praan. It means that nobody is a hindu or a muslim. We all have come from Allah and Ram (both allude to the one and only true God).
So Guru ji did not belong to one religion and not the other, he only belonged to the Name of God.
By segregating any one person into a religion, you are missing the bigger point of what religion teaches: In front of God, we are all equals. No one person is greater or lesser because of religion.

which history books are u referring to conclude that guru gobind singh was killed by moghul. Even guru teg bahadur sahib himself sacrificed his life to save hindu people whom moghul was forcibly converting. he set example by giving sacrifice for other religion which none of other prophets of world did ever. bahadur shah was great devotee of guru gobind singh, and killing moghul kings was not motive of sikh gurus. even akabar visited guru arjun dev to get spiritual teachings.

guru sahiban sacrificed their life due to request by kashmiri pandits, because due to forceful conversion campaign of auranzeb, pandits asked aurangzeb that if guru teg bahadur accepts conversion to islam then all the hindus will get converted. guru ji himself went to Delhi for dialouge, and when moghul could not convince guru sahib then they gave 2 options, accept islam or death. guru chose path of sacrifice to safeguard right of freedom to follow religion as per faith.

sikhs wanted all religions to live togather. During the time of Sikh empire ruled by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, even muslims were included as ministers in Maharaja's ministry. Ranjit Singh's Empire was secular, none of the subjects were discriminated against on account of their religions.The Maharaja never forced Sikhism on his subjects unlike moghuls.

@skgurmeet when did i say Raan Roy was a King?...he was a Rich Nawab who used to live just next to Data Dargah...his son who was indian ambassador to Afghanistan..his name was Roop chand...u can find details by his name....second thing if we wanted to attack sikhs we would attack on Panja Sab Pilgimages and if v wana attack hindus we would attack on Katas ppl...dont individualise the case....once or twice if some one is attacked ...dont compare it with 1947 muslim massacer or 1984....

@skgurmeet as far as Pakistan concern i dont mind to accept the truth...we are in a time of crunch now...because of several factors....Repeated Military interventions....corruption...bad governments...and above all Musharraf`s anti Pakistan and anti-Islam and Mulims policies...u said Pak Govt dint supprt sikhs..yes it was not Govt..it was Army...if u r a sikh and u claim u belong to sikhism...have u ever heard the name of Gen.Javed Nasir?...i know u dont...i would say shame on u maan.

@skgurmeet Sikhs were comeing to pakistan in the groups of Pilgrimages and were spying against Pakistan..Kashmir Singh and Sarbjeet Singh are biggest examples....at that time there was Gen.Javed Nair was DG ISI...(Dr, Suran Singh tells all this story himself)..Gen.Javed Nasir Organised Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee ..and he give full mandate to them to root out black sheeps themselves....and u r sayng indiviuals helped sikhs in pak??....u guys vene cant say thank u .. mannerliness

baba nanak did not converted any hindu or muslim and everybody to follow their religion in true faith. Own sons of Guru Nanak Dev i.e. baba sri chand (a known hindu saint), and baba lakshmi das were hindus.
baba nanak said hindu anna (blind) turaq (muslim) kana (one eyed), doha tau gyani syana..
why he called muslim one eyed, because he knows half truth that Allah is one supreme power, but not other half truth that he is the only one supreme and no prophet is as great as Allah.

there were many muslim disciples of Guru Gobind Singh ji, including peer budhu shah, nabi khan, gani khan and bahadur shah zafar. guru sahib never asked anybody to leave islam or hinduism, but asked everybody to follow the religion in true spirit to ensure unity with true lord.
due to political reasons, now pakistani govt. is spreading lies amongst their citizens, nobody else in world clamis that baba nanak was muslim, or that baba nanak was not founder of sikhism. ... pity on u.

Bible also says jesus is final prophet? neither bible nor quran was written in time 7 presence of Crist or Mohammad saab.. but one thing is common that God is one and no rule applies on him.. if he wants to send more prophets, nobody can stop..

@skgurmeet man dont mind it...but i let me tell u one thing wo...according to my knowledge Guru Granth was written after years of death of Baba Nanak...and the main character who played vital role to write down Granth sab..it was Baba Gobind sab..right?..according to my lil search he was a politicaly motivated person...he fought against Mughals along with some muslims...baba Budhu was big example who joined baba Gobind to fight against mughals...dats true man accept it or not....
