@MrUnderscore85 - Candle heats air. Air expands. Glass rim is isolated from external air by the liquid. Candle goes out. Air cools down and contracts. Pressure in glass is lower than external air-pressure. External air-pressure forces liquid into glass due to pressure differential. Does that help?
