The movie ends the same way it began. The kids watching the deadly scorpions getting swarmed by the ants for entertainment, are uswatching theses guys getting swarmed at the end. Even though the scorpions are deadly, there are just way too many ants.

They were bad guys, but they went to help their teammate, they didn't give up, they were outgunned outmanned, never ckickend out, I respect that about them, and it makes for a great movie. Another good story about cool guys defying the odds is 'Lone Survivor" only those are good guys and the story is true.

There are many people who have been brainwashed with trashy pop music and think it has to be in evidence with whatever they do. There is no point in putting up a video just to show that you like trash music(?) This could have been a very good film if Peckinpah hadn't gone way over the top in the violence which is the kind of thing that appeals to overgrown schoolboys.

Shane is a much better film but then George Stevens was making films when Peckinpah was in short trousers

@MartinPadderborn this isn't a good film??? The performances are electric and the gunshot 'ballets' important to the grand scope f the film. Even without all the gratuitous bloodletting, the film is an excellent drama of four men lost in time.

Shane is an excellent film, but 1-dimensional when compared to the Wild Bunch.

And because Peckinpah was much younger than Stevens that that makes Stevens a better director right? Yeahh............OK!!! hahahahaaaa..

Great blend of an old movie and modern music, Pike. As for cholulasaucehot, Leone had style(and Morricone) but this was Peckinpah at his best(and probably the best ever western) and Leone could never inject the life into death that Sam did in this film. I'd take Nobody off that list- Sergio only produced it.
