you have no idea how strong you are. i have muscular dystrophy and am 32 years old and even now i am still too ashamed of my weakness to allow people to see me struggle to do anything
Wow! I am truly amazed-though I know this is now normal for you. I have LGMD I was diagnosed when I was 21, now Im 27 & I have to say its very difficult because its ever changing. Anyways...thanks for showing this to the world-I dont (yet) have the guts to do this!
I've posted on your videos before. I'd just like to say thank you for showing the world about MD. My cousin, 14 years of age on Aug 21 2010 has MD. He is the sweetest, most lovable boy in the who entire world. I pray each night for him, each year on my birthday, it's my candle wish. A cure for all of MD. I'd just like to say thank you for all your videos. I really appreciate it. You're in my prayers, and wishes. Thank you again for everything. Your an amazing person.
You're incredible. You should be very proud of yourself.
Don't get a stair lift unless you absolutely need to one day because I think it's awesome that you have the emotional (and physical) strength to push yourself like this. You don't need a stair life, you find creative ways to go up the stairs on your own instead :)
Haha that's what i was thinking. I have SMA and the last stair is always the most difficult since the railing ends. I always gotta take my time and pick a strategy on how to conquer that last stair haha. I've fallen down more times than I can remember, I've never broke a bone yet though.
get a stair lift. i have a rod in my right leg making it imposable for me to bed my leg and i avoid stairs at any cost. when i go to my parents i dread the visit. three story house. only restroom on second floor. i make the climb only twice a day when i'm there. yes it sucks to wait that log to use the restroom but it's most difficult for me t make it up stairs as narrow as the ones in my parents house. i live in a on floor house with only one step to get into the house.
hopefully the banister will last a good while, it's going to wear out eventually. You did a good job, I'd have given up in sheer frustration about 5 steps in.
