I just could not believe the sheer number of people that showed up to watch it! We got there 30 minutes early and that wasn't nearly early enough. I'm 6'0 and my girlfriend is 5'7 and we had trouble seeing. Plus even with our average places to view, we still had people coming up behind us trying to bully to the front!
I understand it is not for some people. I do not have children. I guess I am a kid at heart who loves animals. The hotel is grand and royal, not like anything we stayed in while we were there. To hear the kids giggle and talk to the ducks and to see the Daffy's walking through the crowd on a red carpet to get to their fountain was a nice "got to see it once" (especially if you are ever visiting Memphis).
i didnt know what to expect being from montgomery al, but this past week i stayed in the memphis peabody down the street from the baseball park and the fedex fourm(not it in video)but it was alrite as far as service and the shops inside, but the ducks didnt do anything for me. maybe if i had kids it might have been different.
i love the peabody ducks...with orange sauce.

I went on a trip to Memphis last weekend and didn't get to see the ducks. I was so sad :[

I was there last Friday, Jan 30, 2009. AC/DC had reportedly stayed the night at the Peabody. I wanted to see Angus "duck walk" with the ducks!
Alas it was not to be, had to wait to see Angus later that night at the concert.
