It bit strange isn't it that there's a picture in the movie where a girl is in her socks and underwear with her arms tied up?What kind of photography is that suppose to be?
Well thought out statements and very well delivered. Also good to know there's another reviewer of obscure movies on here who shares my views. I reviewed Hard Candy too, check it out if you want. I'll leave it as a vid response. Also like the well written little blurb in the info box.
umm ok, so i never really understood if jeff was a pedophile. did she find any bad pictures or not? all they showed was the picture of the clothed, dead, girl. i know he watched some chick die or something, but i was actually on jeff's side. not hayley's.
The first song is Bjork's "Enjoy". The second song is "What Are You Asking Me?" by The Village. There are actually a few clips on youtube with this all instrumental song. Just do a YouTube search for the artist name and title and you should be good to go!
Hey Stolen Turtle: Saw this movie on the on-demand list last night and remembered your review. What a film! Funny I'd just seen Patrick Wilson in little children the night before - so two night of storylines with "childhood predators". Ellen Page& Patrick Wilson were terrific and some of these scenes involves extreme amount of trust between these two actors. This was a great film -Ellen Page can definitely carry a storyline on her back. Certain tiny times I felt like she was "over-playing"
cont:the role tiny bit. Patrick Wilson is a strong actor- no matter how hard he tried, I'm convinced that he doesn't have the natural dark-streak it authentically takes to sort of be wholly convincing. His acting was on-point-but he didn't convince me the way the guy in Little Children did(ugh!). Nevertheless this movie it totally - nicely done and well-worth seeing. It also has some serious "humor/dark humor" at different points.
The conservationist reation made me die laughing. Overall excellent film even better if you don't know the plot twist before hand - actually I would have loved the pleasure of that experience. Thanks for your review though! I thought it was quite accurate.
Okay, I don't know what happened here. I replied to this yesterday but it doesn't seem to be here now. Do your comments seem to disappear, too? I've had other people say that it happens to them as well.
Anyway, I had just said that I'm glad you liked the movie and that I'm sorry that I spoiled a bit of it for. I didn't think that the twist was big enough to detract from the movie very much, but I do apologize if I gave too much away.
yes absolutely. There have been times as you can see I type my heart out and the message totally gets lost on You Tube.
I really appreciate your review - thanks! Nothing wrong with discussing the twist b/c now that I've seen I want to hear your opinion - so that's great but for those who haven't seen it maybe you can give them the "spoiler" warning. Again, I look forward to seeing your next review! I love great movie discussion which is why I enjoy ur vids! ;-)
I'm glad! So did I. I absolutely LOVE Ellen Page. She is my new idol. I saw a couple of interviews she's done, and she is an extremely intelligent and funny young lady. I love it when women don't act like (or are) ditzes to get attention. She's not one of those "look at me" actresses. I can't wait to see more work from her.
What's behind me is a part of my state water toy collection. Whenever I visit a new state, I always make sure to get a souvenir snow globe/water toy. The other half of the collection is on the other matching cabinet. When I visit another country, I always get a miniature flag of that country and mount it on my mini flag holder. So far I've only got the American, Canadian and Japanese flags on it. Can't wait to add the British one to my collection. =)
She wants to go to his place, silly. This film has no heroes. They are both pedophiles! lol

I'm sorry to hear that! I personally loved the movie, but not everything is for everyone.
Again, sorry you didn't like it, hopefully some of the other movies I reviewed will be more to your liking.
Thanks so much for commenting!

Grab a pillow and a blanket and snuggle under them when the "creepy" parts happen. If you like Ellen Page, you will LOVE this movie!
