okay, for all of you who seem to be slightly WRONG, William is not Mulders baby. Scully got pregenant sometime during her obduction ..she cant remember what heppened because she was in a comatose. BAM ! mulder and scully didnt even sleep togther , so how would he be the father ?! exactly .

They slept together even if it we don't see it, Later seasons let us suppose it happened during season 7. As for her abduction, it happened ,during season 2... don't know how you can relate William to something that occured many years before he was born!! Wathever, the chances are fat that Mulder is the father: who else ?!!

In "I want to believe", Mulder refers to him as being THEIR son.

Emily is the child that results from her abduction!

You must be new to the show if you don't know that!

Chris Carter confirmed that Mulder is Wiliam's father, and "all things" was the first night Mulder and Scully spent together. Not to mention their cozy little scene in "Requiem" gives off the impression they'd been together behind the scenes. Scully's abduction was in season 2, five years before she found out about her pregnancy with William in season 7. However, Emily was made from Scully's ova taken during her abduction.

It's never explained how William was able to be conceived, but some fandom thought has it pegged to sometime during "En Ami", in which Scully is drugged and then taken care of by CSM; many believe CSM was somehow able to give Scully back her ova.

And besides Mulder and Scully referring to William as "their" son, the Super Soldiers are after him as well; it's mentioned several times that Wiliam must die, or "his father must", indicating Mulder. It gets confusing, I know.
