He didn't make it up so he could punch you in the arm. That game is real. My mom played it when she was a kid. And I looked that game up. I think it was invented in 1944. That was way before my mom was born.

Never heard of "punch dub" until stupid ad. It is "slug bug" for "bugs", not all VWs.

Love this game, except my dad made the rule that convetibles were 2 punches and "Slug-Vans" (Volkswagen Vans) are worth 3. LOL

I have a 72 Beetle and I laugh everytime I see someone get punched. Cept we call it Punch Bug *then color* here in NJ
