Jeez so much honda hate.... Race a healthy B18c then see whats up.... On the other hand xrs models are sick, I currently drive a xr matrix and the 1zz is enough to handle sohc-vs and ls motors..... But any dohc-v in a eg or ek would murk me :p

@RoyToy808 those motors work alot better than people would expect, i had one in a 2003 vibe with a few mods and they work well and you still get the gas milage... and you can boost them without having to split the motor, now im runnin a 04 matrix xrs :)

@MrBansheeguy haha yea, not doubting the motor, i currenty have a k&n short ram intake, tb spacer, and a 6speed xrs trans on my 1zz Xr, i have yet to put it against something in a race, i kept up with a 250 ninja, but thats the only thing i have lined up with so far, and before i get bashed for street racing, we have no track here on this island.... sorry about it....

You see, at low RPMs, it's very efficient that the valves for the cylinder are open while the other is shut, and shut while the other is open. But at high RPMs, the engine is literally GASPING for air. The new cam changes that, the timing is changed to allow both to be open at a certain short point, and that the valves are lifted a little taller, we call that lift.

The added bonus is increased horsepower, and a breathing engine, not to mention a nas like boost in speed.

What is lift? Josh30041, sounds like you don't know what you're talking about. Lift comes in NOWHERE near 2K.RPM more like 7K.RPM. At that point, a different camshaft comes in, one that's optimized for very high RPMs....

lift is when the vales open up. normaly about 6000 rpm the vales open creating lift like that of a honda vtech but with TRD its vvtl-i.this is only in the xrs modles.i have an 06 xrs
