y can't they make it like Global Agenda? perfect gameplay where every1 can excel, good shooters along w/ tacticians and u actually SHOOT stuff there and swing ur melee weapon every time, u have spell-like abilities but only THREE at a time (u can swap them in spawnzones) so u can concentrate on action, NOT buttons/bars
Let's all remember that WoW was made almost 1 decade ago, yes we know the graphics are old. Yes we wish they were able to make them better, but they can't. Everyone complains about it, yet ironically if we count the legit players, there are 14 million paying subscribers, that's without counting any private servers.
Because in the end..... Gameplay > graphics ...sadly all the other MMOs put all their work the other way around
Gotta say animations look good...minus the sticky grenades lol..but you see the trooper running while he isn't holding his gun, that animation looks nice, not like a WOW human with a stick up the ass

Story > Graphics(Hopefully that means story over graphics) Story = Gameplay. By the way, I'm only 13,but I understand this kinda stuff. Fallout 1 & 2, much better that FO3(Just an example) I am sorta mad we don't get to see what happend to Revan, but maybe we will, who knows.
Gameplay > anything in an MMO, as people play it to compete against others. It shouldn't be centered around solo experience. However, a story is good, it's nice to feel that you're doing something, not grinding deer heads for just... leveling.

Can't wait. Maybe if swoop racing is included, you can race against other players' times, and maybe the scoreboard will reset every week or so.

man...this was gonna be my favorite class and i watched gameplays from sith warrior smuggler and bountyhunter, they took out groups like these without a problem, and the trooper dies...i don't know if i will like this game, i would be a lot more happy about a republic commando 2

Let's pretend that the official game server will have a limit for 2000 players. 100 of you become Jedi/Sith/Consular/Inquisitor, most of you become troopers like 1000, 200 smugglers, 500 bounty hunters and 200 imperial agents. This way the game will be very epic.

True. You see that they added the cover system to all the ranged classes ( i guessing seeing as how agent has it as well)? But im guessing that the smuggler gets a better cover buff then the rest.
from what i've seen i dont think agent gets a cover like smuggler but instead thay get a granade device that spawns a small shield grid that only the agent can use...sort of like carrying your own tree to hide behind with you. that being said i could be wrong & the agent gets the full cover choice as well just like the smggler, if anyone knows for sure then please reply, i'd like to know too.
ya the agent gets the full cover system (i think) if you go to the officel webpage for this game and go to the agent you see that cover system for them in the combat stuff.
look, there is mass effect 2 coming out. i think there will be no release of these two games at the same time. smart would be to release star wars just before cataclysm, so that wow gets his kickass of a lifetime.
Ya, or World of Warcraft has so many fan boys that releasing at that time would be stupid because wow would win int he battle of wills. I don't like wow and don't even play it, but I wouldn't be so quick to anticipate that wow is going to "die". Starwars is scifi, wow is fantasy, so fantasy fans aren't going to drop wow for swtor anyway.
It'd probably be better if they released TOR around 4-5 months after the arthas patch of WoW (3.3 or 3.4 i think). That way they catch WoW players as they lose interest in the final important content patch.
the smart thing with 3.3 is the doorway system and the attemps. with the release of 3.3 u can fight maybe 4 bosses in the first wing. then time after time more bosses will be added BUT at the end u only have 15 tries to kill arthas IF you didn't wipe before. this system really fucking sucks.
no there are 2 solutions:
1. if u are into wow you keep on farming, twinking and daiyling and go into ICC for MAX 2 hours a week

2. u say FUCK YOU und go to another mmo like star wars.

To be honest on the graphics topic, i actually like the new direction they went with the graphics. I enjoy that it is not photo realism yet it still looks great to me, cant wait to play the game when it comes out, i also signed up to beta test *crosses fingers*. Republic have 1 tank, 1 support, 1 stealth and 1 dps/tank...sith: 2 ranged, 1 stealth, 1 melee...so yeah, maybe best dmg from Republic

True. You see that they added the cover system to all the ranged classes ( i guessing seeing as how agent has it as well)? But im guessing that the smuggler gets a better cover buff then the rest.

Smuggler and IA are mirrors, so they both and only them get the cover system.

from what i've seen i dont think agent gets a cover like smuggler but instead thay get a granade device that spawns a small shield grid that only the agent can use...sort of like carrying your own tree to hide behind with you. that being said i could be wrong & the agent gets the full cover choice as well just like the smggler, if anyone knows for sure then please reply, i'd like to know too.

ya the agent gets the full cover system (i think) if you go to the officel webpage for this game and go to the agent you see that cover system for them in the combat stuff.

look, there is mass effect 2 coming out. i think there will be no release of these two games at the same time. smart would be to release star wars just before cataclysm, so that wow gets his kickass of a lifetime.
and the earlier, the more money they get!

Ya, or World of Warcraft has so many fan boys that releasing at that time would be stupid because wow would win int he battle of wills. I don't like wow and don't even play it, but I wouldn't be so quick to anticipate that wow is going to "die". Starwars is scifi, wow is fantasy, so fantasy fans aren't going to drop wow for swtor anyway.

It'd probably be better if they released TOR around 4-5 months after the arthas patch of WoW (3.3 or 3.4 i think). That way they catch WoW players as they lose interest in the final important content patch.

the smart thing with 3.3 is the doorway system and the attemps. with the release of 3.3 u can fight maybe 4 bosses in the first wing. then time after time more bosses will be added BUT at the end u only have 15 tries to kill arthas IF you didn't wipe before. this system really fucking sucks.
no there are 2 solutions:
1. if u are into wow you keep on farming, twinking and daiyling and go into ICC for MAX 2 hours a week
OR
2. u say FUCK YOU und go to another mmo like star wars.

Actually if you sign up for the beta testing on the swtor website it does a scan of your computer to make sure it will play.

To be honest on the graphics topic, i actually like the new direction they went with the graphics. I enjoy that it is not photo realism yet it still looks great to me, cant wait to play the game when it comes out, i also signed up to beta test *crosses fingers*. KotOR was my favorite game when i was younger as well

personally for me the graphics are good, they have mentioned they wanted stylised realism and for the game to be in a wide range of specs so u dont need a supercomputer to run this. Graphics dont matter, gameplay and story does. Well thats just my opinion u may have a different view on this XD.
